Guides lead groups along a two-hour course of high and low rope obstacles including a high wire, giant's ladder, and a human-sized spider web. Open-ropes-course sessions take place Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in September and on the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in October and on the first and third Saturday of the month. Scott Cook leans on his doctorate of Leadership Development in Adventure Education to develop nature excursions, including far-flung trips where groups snorkel in the Cayman Islands or evolve gills in the Galapagos. Back home, the summer camp’s elaborate ropes course builds teamwork between coworkers, and caving adventures allow guests to delve into mysterious depths or apartment swap with a black bear.
