After graduating cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Ian L. Mapes enhanced his repertoire with advanced training in dental implants, root-canal surgery, oral surgery, IV sedation, and prosthodontics. In 2011, after a year of planning Williamsburg Smile Design’s modern, comfortable facility with Williamsburg’s unique character in mind, he opened his practice, where he maintains patients’ smiles with general and cosmetic dental care.

Patients relax on sleek, white furniture in the waiting room, watching Netflix on a flat-screen TV or staring at abstract contemporary art in the hopes of finding Waldo. In the exam rooms, they recline in soft chairs and watch wall-mounted televisions as they receive dental care.
