During plants hikes, participants learn how to identify and forage for wild edible and medicinal plants. The hike lets people identify and sample 50–75 species and includes a wild edibles booklet. Hikes take place May 31 at Humber Valley Toronto, June 7 at the Woodend Niagara region, and June 14 at Cootes in Hamilton.

The outdoor survival skill and disaster preparation class teaches participants how to survive in the outdoors by constructing a survival kit, building fire and a shelter, and choosing backup gear and equipment for off-the-grid survival. The 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. class takes place April 5 at Humber Valley Toronto, April 12 at the Woodend Niagara region, and April 19 at Cootes in Hamilton.
