My fiance must petition the courts for a legal name change, can you assist in this? Thanks

marina asked 2 months, 20 days, 19 hours, and 30 minutes ago - 1 answer

Miss N.

Hi Marina, That is not something we can help with. I would suggest checking out our legal name change page and partner here: https://www.missnowmrs.com/Legal-Name-Change.aspx.

Hi. I live in NV. I changed my last name to my husband's last name after we married. However, I was not allowed at the time to change my middle name to my maiden name. I also have a second name which is not part of my first name nor my middle name due to ethnic customs that is not used except in legal documents. I would also like to have this name removed so I may have my name comprised of my given first name, my maiden name as my middle name, and my married last name. Would I be able to use this groupon to accomplish this or do I need to do a legal name change through the U.S. court system? Thank you.

V D. asked 2 months, 20 days, 20 hours, and 28 minutes ago - 1 answer

Miss N.

Hi, In your situation, as you have already changed your name due to marriage, you will need to petition the court system for a legal name change order to make any other changes.

The groupon fine print states this expires on Jan 14, 2014, but in one of the above questions/answers it states that this groupon never expires? Can you please confirm the expiration date on this group on? Thanks!

Nadi B. asked 2 months, 20 days, 23 hours, and 27 minutes ago - 1 answer

Miss N.

Hi Nadi, Groupon had to set an expiration date to post on the deal, but our vouchers do not expire. :)

Hi, Are you able to change my mane on green card as well? I am a permanent resident card (green card) holder.

Sera a. asked 2 months, 21 days, 9 hours, and 16 minutes ago - 1 answer

Miss N.

Hi Sera, We do not currently offer the paperwork for non-US citizens. You would need to change your name with the immigration department and on any other non-US paperwork (like your green card) on your own. We would love to help you with all of your US documents though! :)

Hello, I plan to purchase a MissnowMrs for myself, but my fiance also wanted to change the spelling of his first name (his parents chose an non-traditional, and he prefers to use the more common spelling). I believe he needs to petition the court for a legal name change. Can I purchase a voucher for him as well to use through your site? Thanks!

marina asked 2 months, 21 days, 16 hours, and 16 minutes ago - 2 answers

Miss N.

Hi Marina, You are correct, if your spouse wants to change his first name in any way he will need to petition the court system for a legal name change order. We look forward to assisting you!

Is my fiance's legal name change something you could assist with? I'd like to purchase one for him as well if this is something your service covers. Thanks!

Can I buy both one for me and one for my fiance? (the second being considered a gift)?

Lauren M. asked 2 months, 22 days, 12 hours, and 50 minutes ago - 1 answer

Miss N.

Hi Lauren, You can absolutely purchase 2 groupons and redeem one for an account for yourself and redeem the other for a gift card here: https://www.missnowmrs.com/groupon.aspx. Please note that you need to live in CA, GA, HI, IA, LA, MA, NY or ND for your spouse to change his name via the married name change process (if your spouse is a he). If your spouse is a she, you need to live in a state that recognizes your marriage.

Hello! I am getting married this year in California. My plan is to change my middle name to my maiden name and take my husband's last name. It looks like this service will only be helpful with my situation in certain states. Is California one of the states where I can use this service to carry out my plan? Thank you!

Sandra S. asked 2 months, 22 days, 20 hours, and 5 minutes ago - 1 answer

Miss N.

Hi Sanda, Based on CA law, as long as you write your maiden name as your middle name on your marriage license, you can change your maiden name to your middle name (and use our service). If you were already married and didn't have your maiden name as your middle on your license you would have to petition the court system for a legal name change.
