Choose Between Two Options

  • $19 for a chocolate-tasting class for two and each person receives $5 towards chocolates to be used upon arrival (a $50 value)
  • $35 for a chocolate-tasting class for four and each person receives $5 towards chocolates to be used upon arrival (an $100 value)

During one-hour sessions, pupils explore the flavour and creation of chocolate, with classes touching upon how cacao beans are grown, the ethics of production, or the fillers used in mass production. Students sample cocoas from different of origins as well as different compositions culled from numerous manufacturers before tasting Xoxolat's blended bars. Their bars combine unique flavours such as bacon and espresso, dark chocolate with sea salt and peppercorns, sour cherry and chilies, and many others. After the class, students leave with a box of chocolates.

Xoxolat

Modelled after sweets from classic European chocolatiers, Xoxolat's award-winning chocolate makers concoct an assortment of bars, truffles, and artisanal chocolate creations. Since June 2007, they have treated palates to fair-trade and equitable-trade chocolates and single-origin selections from artisan lines such as Republica Del Cacao, Amedei, and zotter. In addition to selling an assortment of gourmet chocolate bars and truffles, Xoxolat holds a Chocolate 101 class where participants learn cacao bean-facts and the ethics behind eating chocolate Easter bunnies.
