$42 for Registration, T-shirt, and Beer ($85 Value)

On Saturday, June 22, Twisted Trails Off Road Park transforms into a 2-mile, 4-mile, and 7-mile racecourse drenched in mud and peppered with climbs. After conquering the muck and mire, each participant receives an Xtreme T-shirt, an Xtreme medal, and one complimentary beer, water, or soft drink, and can recover with a hot shower and the beats of live music until 11:30 p.m. Wee-sized runners can join in the fun at the Mini Muck Kids Run or Junior Muck Kids Run, both of which cost $5 (not included with this Groupon). Camping is also available for an additional fee.

Xtreme Muck Ruck

Inspired by extreme sports, the Muck Ruck is a 2-, 4-, or 7-mile race through mud-slicked terrain designed to rouse beginners and the physical elite alike. The filthy obstacles vary based on terrain, but typically include 12–20 natural and manmade challenges that send participants climbing ropes, sloshing through chest-deep muddy water, and bobbing for leeches. Xtreme Muck Ruck stresses safety with each event, as all obstacles are designed to test your endurance and strength while still being fun. Those seeking to further put their bodies to the test can keep splashing and complete all three courses to join the Xtreme Club 247.

The Groupon Guide to: Boat Clubs

Millions of people own a boat, but—surprisingly—only a few of them get together once a week to talk boat. If you own a boat and haven't joined a boat club, check out some of the topics typically covered in a boat-club meeting so you can see what you're missing:

  • What's your boat's name?
  • What would your boat's name be if your boat could have named itself?
  • What are your favorite boat memories that you haven't made yet?
  • Share the first word that comes to your mind when thinking about your boat. Choose either "boat-like" or "boaty."
  • In a perfect world, how many boats would you like each of your children to own? (This is a trick question. The correct answer is: in a perfect world, my boat is my only child.)
  • On your tax returns, what do you list as you occupation? Boat owner? Boatman? Professional boatist? Something else that has "boat" in it?
  • Is your boat here right now? Can you point it out?

Is 2013 the Year of the Boat? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
