Choose Between Two Options

  • $159 for three laps in one luxury supercar on a professional road course (a $399 value)
  • $259 for three laps in two luxury supercars on a professional road course (a $798 value)

On May 2–5, racecar aficionados have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a luxury supercar, such as a Porsche 997/911 Turbo, Lamborghini LP560, Audi R8, or Ferrari F430. All of the cars have automatic transmissions with paddle shifts. Both options begin with a quick instruction on racing fundamentals and safety overviews for the vehicles and the course. After the short class, drivers slap on a helmet and prepare for the Cresson MotorSport Ranch road course. A professional driver also is available to take passengers around the course. For additional fees, drivers also can take home two 5”x7” photographs of themselves getting into and driving the car, as well as in-car camera footage of the entire drive.

Xtreme Xperience

Xtreme Xperience was founded by a pair of car aficionados who understand the thrill of commanding a $253,000 piece of four-wheeled poetry in motion like the Lamborghini LP560. These same founders know that exaggerating the pronunciation of Porsche is only half as fun as horsewhipping its 530 horsepower from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 3.3 seconds. They understand that the Ferrari F430's supercharged Launch Control console button is too irresistible not to push coming out of every red light and into every dark, quiet, and hopefully vacant train tunnel. The smooth, spaceship-esque aluminum body shell of the Audi R8 makes them appreciate how discreet something like 782 rivets, 382 self-tapping screws, and more than 300 feet of welding can be. The people at Xtreme Xperience love supercars, and they love matchmaking them to other car enthusiasts who live to cruise across the great, oil-stained arteries of the American interstate highway system.

The Groupon Guide to: Britcoms

Everybody knows that British sitcoms, AKA britcoms, AKA sitishes, are better and more artistic than American sitcoms, AKA USATVcoms—especially these, the world’s best britcoms:

The Hemleys of Northumberland: Even though couthness is held above all in England, this working-class family is not couth—uncouth even! The father is gruff from working in a northern smog factory, and every week he somehow manages to ruin the mother’s dinner party with the posh vicar!

Oh, Really Now!: What do a grimy, working-class department-store manager, a posh vicarwife, and a boffin fresh out of Eton who needs a job have in common? They are also bank robbingtons (British for “robbers”). Tune in to Dave. (They really have a channel called this. Google it.)

The Frasiering Hour: Frasier Crane is a popular radio psychiatrist, dispensing his wit and wisdom to the masses. He lives in Seattle with his retired bobby father, Martin, and his housekeeper, Daphne Moon. With Frasier’s brother, Niles, Eddie the dog, outrageous situations, and plenty of humor in each episode, this a worthy successor to Beers Ahoy (the show on which Cheers is based).

What are some of the greatest britcoms? Find out in today’s Groupon Guide.
