BINGO! I’ve spent months waiting and wondering if Groupon would be A list enough to get Yelo on board. And here it is. I’m one of those “I can’t nap” people and went to Yelo and within a few minutes of having my feet massaged was sound asleep. Filtered air, controlled light and sound, futuristic chairs and a nice blanket…really cool. Wait until one of those days you know you’ll be working late, and hit Yelo during the afternoon for a power nap.
Damn…this is starting to sound like one of those bogus, overblown praise Yelp posts from the owner of a place….I swear, it’s not.
Just looking for some clarification. Can you explain exactly how the timing works? The title of this email seems to suggest that you get an hour massage while you nap but I think it’s that you get 30 minutes of nap time (no touching of your body during this time) and then 30 minutes of massage time. Thanks!
I am confused like Ann, how long is the massage, and how long is the nap – or is it up to the customer to allocate 1-hour?
Hi…. I would just like to use the groupon for a one hour sweedish message, can I do that or do I have to take the nap? Thank you.
I’m not a representative, but after looking at the website and the services they offer, it seems clear that the deal is for a 30 minute massage followed by a 30 minute nap (both in same chair, and no massage during nap time).
I’m getting in line with the same question as those before me.
Does the answer get posted here?
it says…..You’ll enjoy a 30-minute YeloNap ($22 value), plus a 30-minute massage of your choice (foot, hand, and ear reflexology, $80 value; or shoulder, neck, and head massage, $90 value).
Hello…this is Michael from Yelo Spa. The Groupon offer for Yelo Spa is a 30 minute massage followed by a 30 minute nap. For the massage, you can choose between either 30 minutes of reflexology on the feet, hands or ears OR 30 minutes of shoulder, neck and head massage. The sessions are performed in our “zero gravity” Yelo Chair. Feel free to check out the Yelo Chair here http://www.yelonyc.com/spa/explore-yelo/yelo-chair/ as well as more about our sessions and treatment rooms here http://www.yelonyc.com/spa/yelo-treatments/reflexology/. We look forward to seeing you! Michael

How does the FTD $15 off flowers work? Is there a promo code? (On there website it looks like everything is $15 off already so how does this make is special for groupon users?)
can two people have massages in the same room?
Hello Cheese C…..we cannot perform two massage in the same room due to the size of each “Yelo Cab” (treatment room). We can of course perform at the same time in different rooms.

Rebecca, FTD has provided us with a unique site where all of the prices are $15 less than their regular priced flowers on their website…the side sponsorship is in addition to Today’s Deal and Side Deal…we thought it was a nice compliment and relevant with Valentine’s Day this weekend.
Hello Jonathan M. – Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on your session at Yelo Spa. We very much look forward to seeing you again and appreciate your support. Michael
I pay you for me to take a nap? And 700 people think this is a good idea?

Jim- Thanks for the clarification..that’s awesome!!!

Wait… I pay to take a nap? What are the benefits? Can you trade in the nap time for an extra 30 minute massage?
I agree. This is not a deal. It is like paying to get 30 minutes massage. I have gone to
other Spa’s for as much or less for one hour. When they offer such I will share with my
Friends.

I just compared the delivery fee’s for the groupon deal and the regular and they charge more for using the groupon- that’s pretty dissapointing
Hello Noelle – There are many proven scientific and medical benefits of napping. Studies have been done including the one below by Harvard Medical Research Group which detail these benefits, including increased productivity and retention to name just a few. You cannot trade the nap time for massage. Feel free to call us with any other questions. – Michael

There aren’t any delivery fees for this, Rebecca- you have to go to their location for nap and massage, they don’t come to you…

Rebecca, are you looking at the same product with same delivery method on both sites? There are differences between florist delivery and direct ship. There shouldn’t be a difference in shipping if the product and delivery method are the same on both.
Michael- Is it true that it’s less expensive to get the same 30/30 treatment directly from you instead of using the Groupon? If so, there’s a real problem here.
Hi Debbie – This offer can only be purchased at this price here on Groupon today. You would spend over $100 on this session if you purchased it at Yelo Spa directly any day including today.
For some reason groupon doesnt take my credit card (mastercard)!
Is there a way to get some special price directly from your store?
The same thing happened with my mastercard, but only for my gift one! i’m really disappointed, because i was buying it for my mother. with barely 10 minutes left i get sent an email that the purchase didn’t go through. I followed the link in the email to fix it, but instead of rebuying the gift one, it gave me a second one (which i don’t think you could do in this deal). when i tried to cancel that one and rebuy AGAIN as a gift for my mother it didn’t go through in time before midnight.
I have documentation that I indeed purchased the groupon in time. Who do i speak to in order to remedy this??
I have to say that I’m very disappointed with my purchase. The title: “$46 for a One-Hour Massage and Nap at YeloSpa.” is very misleading. I thought I was getting a “One-Hour” massage when my wife called to make an appointment. The Yelo representative was not very courteous and helpful, insisting it’s not a 1-Hour massage (and rightfully so). Two things could have been done better in this case: (1) The title of the Groupon should have been outright "$46 for a Half-Hour Massage and Nap at YeloSpa and (2) The Yelo representative could have been more professional and listened better. After all, the confusion did not start from us, the Groupon client.
My lesson learned: I have to read all the way down the Groupon copyright for the details instead of rushing to buy the “coupon” to beat other Groupon members.
complete rip off
Massage + Nap WONDERFUL. For those who don’t get the concept it is most unfortunate. After the amazing 30 minute massage you get 30 minutes of sleep. The body is so restored and rested. I loved the reflexology and foot massage. Z-z-z-z-z.
I did this groupon with three friends and we absolutely loved it! The sp is beautiful and the staff were extremely relaxed and courteous. We had some lovely tea before our session and after working in a very busy fifth avenue retail store the calm and quiet of the salon was a delight. The neck massage I chose was very well done and the nap was amazing. I never thought 30 minutes could be so revitalizing! The chairs are ridiculously comfy and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I will definitely visit again and have recommended it to others.

I used my groupon today and have to say what a truly amazing experience! I live in Hell’s Kitchen and have passed Yelo on numerous occassions, but never went in thinking why on earth would I pay to nap when I live 4 blocks away – what a mistake. The spa was calming, clean and staff extremely courteous. The 30 minute neck and back massage was one of the best and addressed my kinks and pains (thanks Joe) and the relaxation nap room was amazing. I was thinking if airplane seating was like this, I would never stay home :P Fell asleep and woke up relaxed. Easily recommend Yelo to all my friends and will be back soon! Thanks Groupon for scoring a great deal at a wonderful place.

I have been trying to make an appointment for over two weeks. Every time I called they always gave me a time slot 4 or 5 days away. However, when I look online there are plenty of open time slots available. Today, Madeline finally admitted that THEY ONLY TAKE ONE GROUPON PER DAY! This is absolutely ridiculous because if they expire in one year they only have 365 appointments to fill the 1000+ Groupons purchased. I am disgusted. Groupon should do something about this immediately.
I had a similar experience to Brianne…bought the Groupon with a friend, and when I said it was two Groupons for two people, I couldn’t get an appointment until 14 days in the future. They’re clearly trying to discourage people from using these.
can’t use the yelo groupon—anyone interested in buying? fyi they require one day in advance booking and just doesn’t work with my schedule. thanks—contact me at
mrr.rose@verizon.net
complete rip-off—groupon should refund to all people who can’t schedule appointments—they now say one must schedule 2 weeks in advance—

If you’re having problems scheduling an appointment contact Groupon (support@groupon.com) & let them know what’s happening. The discussion forums isn’t always the best way to get help, but it’s good to let others who brought the groupon know what’s up :)
thanks reenie—i have contacted groupon and am awaiting their response—
