Questions and Answers

I have several old slides that I'd like to convert, but many of them are slipping out of the original cardboard holders. Can you still convert them?

I'm sorry we couldn't get to your question. As this deal is only available for a limited time, I suggest you reach out to the business directly at support@yesvideo.com to see if your slides are in a state that they can handle.

Hi-Can I save money on shipping by not having you return the original VHS tapes?

Mary T. asked 3 months, 11 days, 13 hours, and 38 minutes ago - 1 answer

Thanks for the question, Mary. Your request is not something we would be able to do. We will return all original media with your order; it is up to you what you would like to do once they are returned. It is also important to note that shipping back to you is a standardized $10.99 rate, regardless of its weight or size. Your offer mentions conversion of three 2-hour VHS tapes into 3 DVD's. I have a situation where i have several small bits of video on four or five VHS tapes. All together the footage doesn't add up to two hours. Is it possible to combine those multiple clips into one DVD, as long as it doesn't exceed two hours of time? I have some other 90 minute + VHS footage I would use for the other two DVD's in your offer. Would appreciate any clarification you could offer. Thank you.

Hi Walt, thanks for the question. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. Any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made, with a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. With the Groupon offer, you are receiving three transfers for the price of one! I visited the Web link, and now wonder... am I correct in assuming this actually amounts to $40 worth of conversion, not $60 -- that it costs $20 to complete an online order form and ship the tapes, leaving $40 for transfers, or the equivalent of two 2-hour cassettes?

Hi Mike, Thanks for your question. The groupon covers $60 of value on our site and, in the description it says that the examples do not include any applicable tax or shipping. So, depending on your shipping preferences, will determine how much of the dollar value goes to transfers and how much goes to shipping. The hard cost of returning originals with your new DVDs is $10.99 (we pass along that cost but make no money on it). And, you can ship your materials to us yourself rather than purchase the prepaid label which might decrease your overall shipping costs. I hope that clarifies the offer! Some folks are more comfortable using our retail partners and taking their videos to those retail locations. That's a great choice to but the Groupon is not available for use with those partners. You may want to take a look at our FAQ specifically for Groupon customers at http://www.yesvideo.com/groupon.Cheers!
