Questions and Answers

Can you convert super 8 film to dvd. I have a reel of about 4000 feet and a couple of tears included. What would be the pricing?

Hi Sheldon , thank you for the question. We can transfer a variety of film, including 8 MM film! All of our accepted film formats include: Super 8, Regular 8, and 16 MM film. Our pricing is $0.18 per foot, so 4,000 feet of film would cost approximately $720. With your $60 Groupon discount, that would leave an outstanding amount of $660. We can repair movie film if received with some breaks. However, loose film can not be submitted, it must be on a reel. Can you convert my home movie (that was shot on an old Sony camera)? It is on an 8 mm - Video8 cassette. I've got three that need to be put on DVD. How much would this cost?

Hi Robert, thank you for the question. We can transfer a wide variety of video tapes, including 8 mm tapes! Other accepted tapes formats include: VHS, Betamax, VHS-C, Hi-8, Digital 8, and MiniDV. Our pricing is $19.99 per video tape, up to two hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. The final price of your transfer will be dependent on the duration time of your tapes. Since the DVDs can hold up to 2 hours, any tape exceeding two hours will require a new DVD to be made and a cost of $19.99 per additional DVD created. You can also visit our website to read our frequently asked questions and learn more about our Groupon offer.

Can I send more than one video in the box and would this price cover that conversion as well?

Eric T. asked 3 months, 20 days, 2 hours, and 5 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Thanks for the question, Eric. The quantity of media that you include with your shipment should correspond with the quantity listed on your order. On the other hand, if you are purchasing an EasyShip Kit, you would pack up all the media you wish to have transferred in the box we provide and send to us via prepaid postage. Once we receive your media, we will provide you an an estimate according to the quantity received. The deal is for you to spend the $60 any way you wish for our supported media types. This means the $60's worth is dependent on the quantity and type of media you would like to transfer. If you go by individual media types, the Groupon will cover three two-hour tapes ($57.97 ), six reels 3" reels ($54.00), or 122 images ($59.78). Since you pay a la carte for your order, you can have combinations of the supported media types as well (different media types will go on different DVDs, but they can be placed in the same order). To calculate what you can get out of the Groupon with the media that you have, you can visit our page here and tell us what you have; it will automatically give you a quote depending on the quantity you enter! You can also view our pricing list on that page. I hope this helps!
