Questions and Answers

I have a 2.5 yr. old energetic, athletic, agile maltese-poodle mix (He's about 15.5 lbs.-under the fur, his body tone like that of Lance Armstrong.) fur.) He does well at 2 off-leash dog parks, but when on the leash or in the car, he barks at other dogs. What deal would be best for him/us? I'd love him to get the chance to try agility. Thanks! Lyn

Definitely we would recommend the Private Gym option, as group classes will not be the ideal training environment for your dog, at least initially. During the evaluation we may be able to make recommendations, such as private one-on-one training. It is certainly more than conceivable that your dog may well soon be able to join group classes -- just no way to predict without an actual evaluation.

I forgot to ask when I wrote my previous question: what time of day/evening are the group classes, and what days of the week? Thanks so much!

Schedules vary across the four locations blanketed by this deal. If you visit http://zoomroom.me/groupon, and select your nearest location at the bottom of the page, you will see current schedules.

I’m a little confused with this offer. What’s the difference between 4 Private Gym Sessions ($35) vs. 4 Dog Training Classes ($69)? Also, we have two puppies (same age), what is the age recommendation and will we be able to purchase two deals?

Mary N. asked 5 months, 18 days, 18 hours, and 57 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Mary. The deal is one per household, so you would only be able to purchase the Groupon for one puppy. Private Gym is a completely different service than group dog training classes. Private Gym is very much like an indoor dog park - there is no instruction at all - it is 1/2 hour long, and you have the gym all to yourself. You can learn more about our puppy classes and the age requirements on this page from our website: http://www.zoomroomonline.com/dog-training-classes/puppy-classes.html.

Are the classes one-on-one or are they group sessions? Does that depend on what happens in the evaluation?

Lauren C. asked 5 months, 19 days, 8 hours, and 40 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Lauren. These are for group classes only. The evaluation will help determine at what level of advancement you may enter a given class. If your dog is not very social and comfortable around other dogs, then this training deal is definitely not a good choice for you. If this is the case, we'd recommend that you sign up for private training classes (one-on-one), and you might also enjoy the Private Gym groupon deal - as this is something that even a non-social dog could enjoy.

Zoom R. answered 5 months, 18 days, 20 hours, and 56 minutes ago

Hi! Can this groupon be used for agility training classes as well? I have an Australian Shepherd mix with lots of energy and I think she would love this!

Jessica l. asked 5 months, 18 days, 22 hours, and 16 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Yes, Jessica, the 4 pack of training classes may be used for ANY of our classes -- agility, obedience, puppy, tricks, and more!

Zoom R. answered 5 months, 18 days, 20 hours, and 59 minutes ago

Are any of the classes provide potty training?

Vero N. asked 5 months, 19 days, 9 hours, and 27 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Vero. Our puppy classes do address all common concerns of puppy owners, such as housebreaking.

I am not a new client; I brought my one dog in for classes, but I have added a new dog to the fam that needs obedience classes. Does that new dog count as a new client since he has never been to Zoom Room before?

Phoebe W. asked 5 months, 19 days, 20 hours, and 58 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Phoebe. You're the client! So unfortunately you wouldn't be able to take advantage of this deal -- only for people who have never had an opportunity to try out the Zoom Room before. We of course would be more than delighted to help out your new dog with obedience classes!

Zoom R. answered 5 months, 19 days, 19 hours, and 25 minutes ago

Roughly how much of the 6 week Obedience 2 training will be covered with the "$69 for four dog-training classes" deal?

tatsuro s. asked 5 months, 19 days, 22 hours, and 24 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Tatsuro. The four locations in SoCal for this deal all teach using the Levels system -- which means that Obedience 2 is not a set six week workshop, but rather you move at your and your dog's pace through the curriculum so you're always working with other dog owners at the same level of proficiency as you. Please check out the web page for the location nearest you to learn more about how the curriculum works. You'll also find our phone # on the page, and you should please feel free to call us up on the phone if any of this is at all unclear! When will the Sherman Oaks location open? I want to make sure we will have time to use the groupon before it expires...

Alana H. asked 5 months, 20 days, 23 hours, and 35 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Alana - you will have plenty of time! Classes will begin at Sherman Oaks in January, and doors will actually open a bit earlier in December for a sneak peek. We'll be announcing the dates and all details on our Sherman Oaks Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/ZoomRoomShermanOaks.

Rachel . asked 5 months, 20 days, 17 hours, and 49 minutes ago - 1 answer

Zoom R.

Hi Rachel. This deal is for new clients who have never been to a Zoom Room before, so unfortunately you wouldn't be able to use this one. But we do have a lot of new offerings and gear since your last visit, and we'd love to see you back!
