Decent place for visiting Washington Good hotel in Washington DC, decently located in a safe area of the city. Not completely central, but a half hour walk from the White House, so all in all, good location. Lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby, as well. Complimentary tea and coffee in reception and a very close Starbucks for breakfast if you wish. My room was basic, but quiet and comfy, with a clean bathroom and a nice, decent bed. Yeah, it seems to be an old building, but it is a goof choice to explore Washington DC.

Going back in time - Overpriced, shabby, dirty and unsafe We stayed in total 6 nights in this hotel due to a nearby conference in DC. This hotel is dirty, shabby, old and it feels unsafe if you look at the equipment in the room and the locks used. If we could have made a cancellation or rebooking we would have done it immediately. It is a pity that the hotel reservation service we used has not checked the hotel rooms of this hotel. The state of the hotel room is below any expectation. It looks like there has been no maintenance for 50 years in this hotel. Paint chipping off radiators and heating pipes. Wallpaper curling up and disintegrating from most of the walls. I have seen this once before in Paris, in a small hotel close to Gare du Nord. The air conditioner is improvised in one of the windows. Bathroom has some fixes with some brush strokes. This hotel has the look and feel of the hotel used in the movie The Shining, no joke. My partner has found during our stay 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. 2 positive things: Hotel is close to a subway station and has a fridge. Feedback from the hotel concierge was the the glue of the wall paper was not the best. :-) Well, it's over 50+ years old if I look at it. Tadeusz Kosciuszko could have rented and stayed in this room, if you would have asked me.

Very nice!! Perfect location and very good room and huge bathroom! Staff very nice, good balance between quality and price, not too expensive and located in a very beautiful area. Around the corner there are lots of restaurant and 15/ 20 minutes walk to the main attraction and sights seen

We had a great rest! The location is a little further from the downtown. But getting there and back is very convenient. Literally one bus. The room is beautiful, clean, unusual in size. The beds are very comfortable and wide. The sheet is clean and white and smells fresh. The bathroom is not big. There is shampoo, soap, several sets of towels. There is a TV in the room and fast wi-fi. Sleep quality is excellent

Shady AF Do not book here! So we are leaving our trip early because both of us are in agonizing pain from being forced to sleep on a mattress that is dated April of 1999. Yep, that’s not a typo. Both the hotel and Expedia are refusing to refund our loss of over $700. But fear not, we already have reported them to the Washington DC Hotel Association as well as the Washington DC Health Department. For three days they have also refused to give us a different room. So the battle begins…. Do not stay at the Windsor Inn Hotel! They refuse to give names and they refuse to produce a manager. Shady AF
