A serious accident took TNT Fitness’s founder Tag Dundas’s physical and mental health, right down to his ability to walk. During his journey to recovery, he transformed his life. It took hours of work and training, but Tag regained all his functionality, and the experience had him sticking with the gym until well after his time in physical therapy had come to an end. His new fitness far surpassed what it had been before the accident, and he decided to become a personal trainer to help others achieve those goals they always thought were impossible.

Today, Tag and his team of trainers help clients strengthen and condition their bodies in group fitness classes and personal training. Michelle, Candice, and Sherri, who conducts cardio and core exercises, and Colleen, who conducts beginner classes, help equip athletes to excel with tailored training that focuses on building the kinds of speed, strength, and agility needed for each sport. Tag himself has logged nearly 1,000 hours using TRX resistance bands in personal-training sessions and boot camps. He affectionately calls the camps T-ReX boot camps, after the dinosaur renowned for its strength, ferocity, and ability to perform a perfect unassisted sit-up.

Formaggio Fine Foods owner Jody Sigurdson-Longo, a Red Seal chef and graduate of Dubrulle Culinary Institute, strikes a balance in her cuisine by serving time-tested gourmet recipes alongside dishes that embrace the latest culinary trends. During her cooking classes, groups prepare dishes such as handmade ravioli, stuffed with butternut squash and mascarpone cheese and flavoured with brown butter and sage. For special events, Jody’s typical catered platter might include snacks such as brined olives, shaved prosciutto, and stalks of asparagus with which to gesticulate wildly during conversations. The shop also stocks a wide selection of imported cheeses such as manchego, a sheep milk cheese from the Mancha region of Spain, or Roaring 40's blue cheese from Australia's King Island Dairy. Jody also creates treats for on-the-spot enjoyment, such as panini sandwiches stacked with prosciutto di Parma, frothy cappuccinos, and 49th Parallel coffee.

In Robby Blanchard's biography photo on his website, he prepares to lift a heavily stacked barbell. The determination is clear on his face—the same determination that carried him through a bachelors of science in exercise, an MBA in Business Management, three CrossFit-training certifications in varying styles, not including the fact he's a USA Weightlifting-Certified Sports Performance Coach. Today he shares his determination and all his fitness knowledge with at his training camp, CrossFit Reach.

During workouts, Robby and two other resident coaches push students through an array of exercises that change every session to boost the body's ability to perform in the 10 domains of fitness, which include power, speed, flexibility, and agility. To do so, students might perform exercises requiring them to run, jump, weightlift, and eventually perform all of those elements at once, immediately qualifying them for a life in the circus.
