Sandy Creps first became acquainted with yoga in her living room—this was in the '90s, when watching videotapes and using chickens as commerce were regularly practiced. Wanting more of a challenge than what she was getting from the video, she began attending classes, and because of the way yoga cleared her mind and balanced her body, she got hooked. Today, Sandy is a registered yoga instructor and teaches gentle yoga, slow flow, and flow classes. She enjoys teaching students of all fitness levels how yoga can increase flexibility, help with weight loss, and increase energy, as well as sharing the knowledge she's gained through exploring local yoga scenes around the country and in Puerto Rico.
Jazzercise is 60 minutes of cardio, strength training, and stretching that incorporates moves from hip-hop, yoga, Pilates, jazz dance, kickboxing, and resistance training with handheld weights. Dancing with the Stars multiple-champion Cheryl Burke is a big fan of Jazzercise's improvisational workouts, though luckily you won't need her dance moves to get the most out of your class. If you're prone to first-class jitters, though, you can review the basic moves online before you go. Expect to burn up to 500 calories with each go-round.

At dozens of locations across the Midwest and South, members can sculpt their bodies in whichever manner they choose—from personal training with resistance machines and free weights to group classes in cycling, Zumba, and Pilates. A number of group classes draw on the gym’s urban theme for inspiration. Urban Iron, for example, focuses on building muscles that resemble the cast-iron beams of skyscrapers, and Urban Yoga closely imitates the poses necessary to squeeze onto a subway train at rush hour.
I teach Boot Camp Fitness Classes and do small group training out of my own studio in Sylvania. My clients range in age from 12 to 80. My emphasis is on functional training and exercises that can improve mobility, strength, posture, and energy levels. I make exercise challenging yet fun.
