If you were to trace the origin of one of Jamba Juice?s freshly squeezed juices, it wouldn?t take long before you ended up face to face with its most important supplier: Mother Nature. Whole fruits and vegetables from her gardens, groves, and orchards fill Jamba Juice's stores: kale, apples, pineapple, carrots, beets, and other produce. Although it?s serious about filling cups with wholesome, natural ingredients, the company is a little more playful when it comes to the palate.
Sure, there are classic juices on the juice menu. Purely Carrot, for instance, which is as elemental and straightforward as it sounds. But there?s also the Tropical Greens, which combines apple juice and pineapple with super greens and chia seeds. And there?s Kale Orange Power, loaded with kale, bananas, and orange juice?all of which are packed with a serious helping of vitamins and manganese. Regardless of which flavor you choose, each 12-ounce juice packs in at least 1.5 servings of fruits and veggies, making it a convenient way to restore energy and get nutrition on the go. The same commitment to simplifying healthy eating can be found throughout the Jamba Juice menu, from its Fruit and Veggie smoothies to its Artisan Flatbreads.
In addition to providing healthy options to customers, Jamba Juice sponsors Team Up for a Healthy America. The initiative is focused on improving childhood nutrition and fitness by encouraging fans to join the Team Up community of celebrities, athletes and other leaders committed to helping the nation stay fit?which you can do by visiting the main Jamba Juice website.
With over 500 stores serving the full freshly squeezed juice menu, Jamba Juice is the perfect way to blend in the good.
Though most people avoid smoky bars, patrons at Genie Lounge Cafe often come for the smoke. That's because guests aren't smoking cigarettes, but instead puffing on colorful hookahs filled with sweet-smelling, flavored tobaccos. Patrons sip on espresso as they pass around hookah hoses to friends seated on pillow-lined couches, enjoying the combination of flavors woven from drinks, pastries, and the fragrant smoke. On special nights, guests can even watch belly dancers sashay their way through tables to music as exotic and elegant as a zebra in a silk pantsuit.
Step one: local farmers hand pick organic fruits and vegetables. Step two: they make their way, five pounds at a time, into Juice Crafter's 20-lb. hydraulic press. Step three: it's cold-pressed juice, and you drink it. Operating under the simple motto "live well and be well," Juice Crafters creates healthy, vitamin-rich elixirs designed to give bodies a boost. Powerhouse smoothies carry the nutrients that systems need after a workout without giving stomachs the heavy feeling associated with eating vitamin rocks. Cleanse & Detox juice programs, which last three to eight days, help evict unwanted toxins while helping bolster the immune system, among other positive effects, and made-to-order juices tickle both the taste-buds and the food pyramid.
Certified massage therapist Erin Warfield Shaffer expresses her belief in holistic approaches to wellness by treating bodies to a detoxifying combination of hands, herbs, and hydrotherapy. Shaffer's four massages range from hot-stone techniques that melt tension in backs to reflexology methods that manipulate the feet in an effort to relieve pain in the rest of the body. She also cleanses bodies with such detoxification rituals as the acupoint session, a massage-like treatment that causes key points in the body to absorb healthy herbs so that clients don't have to sleep on a pile of herb-crusted halibut. The center also concocts custom facials and peels that nourish the skin with hydrotherapy, botanicals rich in Vitamin C, and other organic ingredients.

This past March, Passion Cafe & Lounge got a new owner and a new a chef. Educated at the Culinary Institute, Chef Josh uses his classical training to fuse Mediterranean and Persian influences into a single extensive menu. His specialties include beef schnitzel, hand-breaded filets of meat served over basmati rice, and the simple yet delicious tomato and egg shakshuka, two poached eggs in a hearty tomato-vegetable sauce flavored with garlic, onions, and saffron tea, and ingredient normally only found in cups of hot water and recently pranked hot springs.
At Patio Cafe at Sportsman's Lodge Hotel, you'll find all the style and simplicity of the 1950s, but luckily, none of the kitsch or blandly colored plates that came straight out of the microwave. Inside the pristine dining room, clean whites are juxtaposed alongside bright oranges and the swaying palms that often lean in the open windows to steal a bite of eggs. The midcentury aesthetic has a modern tilt, with new Eames-inspired chairs at each of the tables, their white fiberglass curves hugging diners. Each day, the caf? is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, serving up fresh-cracked eggs alongside 8-ounce steaks, pairing burgers with fries or tots, and modernizing TV dinners with offerings like lasagna, fried chicken, and bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Diners can round out meals with milk shakes, shirley temples, and cocktails, as well as fresh-squeezed juice.
