After graduating with a degree in digital design, Ian Holmes took the natural next step of working as a graphic artist at a photography studio. As time went on, he began to realize he didn't want just to tinker with images during postproduction—he wanted to be the one to capture them with a click of the shutter. In 2011, Ian opened Anchor Photography Studio, a full-service studio dedicated to his quirky, modern style, which often incorporates romantic silhouettes, long-exposure motion shots, and high-concept shoots of kids and high-school seniors that depict superheroes and surreal scenes. Capturing both posed and candid shots from a variety of angles, Ian stages in-studio shoots or hauls his equipment to local parks, city streets, and weddings. His training as a graphic artist and his robotic third arm help him excel in editing and customization, using the Adobe Creative Suite of software to play with color contrast or create simple black-and-white images.
