Krav maga is the official fighting style of the Israeli Army, but it seems like US Armed Forces members are enjoying it too. Marc Delnicki and Mark Messare, who served in the US Army and Air National Guard, respectively, draw on decades of martial-arts experience to teach Kelevra Krav Maga?s students how to keep themselves and their loved ones safe. Using modern, practical fighting techniques, their krav maga classes impart self-defense skills while also providing an intense, full-body workout. Marc and Mark also lead kids' martial-arts classes, and KFX fitness classes that use scientific research and anatomy knowledge to design workouts.
Total Ryder in Motion transforms traditional spinning workouts by simulating the curves and swerves of real road biking. The innovative RealRyder stationary machine can move laterally, making riders feel as if they are banking on a hard turn or dodging tumbleweeds in real life. The studio's curriculum of specialized classes can help students achieve their personal fitness goals, from burning fat to strengthening the upper body. Many of the students at Schott's Boxing will never climb into the ring for real; they're more interested in getting into the best shape of their lives. But that doesn't seem to concern the trainers, who have designed their classes to simulate the physical challenge of a real 12-round boxing match?minus the hitting, of course. During a typical session, students stick and move for three minutes and rest for one, repeating that pattern for 12 rounds. Each round consists of a different exercise, such as pounding the heavy bag, jabbing the trainer's punching mitts, or using the referee as a jump rope.
