The shutter-snapping staff at Hut Photos trains studio lights, technical know-how, and creative impulses on subjects to reveal inner and outer beauty. Adept eyes capture every moment throughout weddings and facilitate tastefully sultry boudoir sessions to highlight inner allure. Flash-popping fiestas also help aspiring models to build their portfolios, and craft poignant portraits ideal for hanging in family rooms or wearing on the back of the head to confuse mischievous children. Shoots take place in Union 206 Studio's expansive, climate-controlled space, complete with a private room for wardrobe changes and makeup.
Hi, I'm Maggie, and along with my team I provide beautiful photography for less!
All of our photographers are experienced professionals with a photojournalistic style, and a touch of art thrown in!
I personally do 90% of the photography, but my team is on hand whenever I need them.
Capital Boudoir features a team of shutterbugs, whose publication credits include The Washington Post. The team dedicates its days to making their guests feel beautiful and comfortable. Before having clients step in front of the lens, they have them select flattering outfits and sit down for a cosmetic session. Once subjects are gussied up, the photographers coach models through a series of poses, capturing each sultry, yet tasteful look in artfully composed images. During post-shoot viewing sessions, clients can determine which pictures they want to retouch and preserve with prints or full-back tattoos.
The nugget of inspiration that sparked Photo In a Box occurred when one of the founders wanted a photo booth for his own wedding, but wouldn’t settle for inferior service or unrealistic prices. The two founders—who are also best friends—went with the obvious solution: start their own photo-booth company. Now they service DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland, and other more remote locales, toting along professional photo booths to events such as weddings, birthdays, or pre-New Year's Eve parties in July. Some of the booths snap high-resolution shots printed on classic photo-booth strips, while some come equipped with video and social media–integration capabilities. A prop box holds fun toys and costumes such as boas, tiaras, and oversized glasses, and Photo In a Box can customize each booth experience according to the occasion with personalized strip borders and props.
For more than 60 years, Toys“R”Us has been helping kids be kids and grown-ups to revisit their childhoods by providing one of the largest selections of top-brand toys, electronics, games and everyday baby essentials. Founder, Charles Lazarus, revolutionized the toy business by modeling his stores after supermarkets, providing a variety of options to suit varying ages and interests and offering customers to help themselves and have fun in the process. Today, that sense of playfulness is evident at nearly 600 stores in the United States alone, including a flagship location in Times Square where kids are greeted by a 60-foot Ferris wheel, a 5-ton animatronic T-Rex, and a life-sized, 4,000-square-foot Barbie house.
Beyond everybody's favorite bikes, trains and video games, each Toys“R”Us store keeps its shelves stocked with the season’s must-have toys as well as nostalgic standbys that never go out of style. Time-tested brands such as LEGO, Radio Flyer, NERF and Fisher-Price share the shelves with an expansive selection of electronics for older kids, including Wii U and tablets. And though the company has inspired generations of boys and girls to try their hardest not to grow up, it also strives to ensure budding brains develop right on track by devoting a significant portion of its stores to “smart-play” with a wide selection of electronic learning toys and software.
Toys“R”Us—whose extended family of brands includes Babies“R”Us and FAO Schwarz—has earned a number of awards and recognitions through the years, including a spot on Fortune’s list of the World’s Most Admired Companies in 2012. The company has also drawn considerable recognition for its expansive charitable efforts, which include partnerships with the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and Save the Children. This year also marks the tenth consecutive year that the company has partnered with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation to collect new, unwrapped toys and monetary donations in its stores to benefit the organization.
