With a new-trampoline smell still fresh in the recently opened, indoor jump center's air, bouncers somersault and catapult across Cosmic Jump’s 29,000-square-foot of arenas. Four lanes run the length of the main trampoline area, with angled pads at the ends and, in the center, a high vault called The Summit that can only be cleared by heroic bounds or hitching a ride on a mountain goat. After dark, Cosmic Jump transforms into a glowing jump zone as a premium sound system blasts music, with LED black lights and colorful lights pulsing to the beat. Trampolines also host body-sculpting boot camps, dodge-ball classes, and Latin cardio dance classes designed to strengthen the core. Cosmic jump also hosts a wide variety of special events and birthday parties.
Armed with more than a decade of bug-abolishing experience, Platinum Pest Control owner Michael McKelvy and his fully licensed staff help liberate homeowners from the hegemony of creepy crawlers. Monthly programs or one-time seasonal treatments outfit lawns and homes with generous spritzes of organic pest deterrent, successfully driving away mosquitoes, ants, and roving bands of kazoo players to make living spaces more comfortable. To ensure that they're offering the best possible service, Michael and his employees regularly participate in training and education courses to remain fully up-to-date on the latest treatment methods and products.
At Sip-n-Doodle, colors swirl, spread, and mix over canvases while lively conversations crackle. Artists walk students through step-by-step instructions, helping them fashion their own interpretation onto a painter?s canvas. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks and a beverage of their choice, the better to sip as they daringly work outside the lines. The studio provides all the necessary painting supplies, cups, and bottle openers, as well as blow dryers should works not be completely dry by the end of the night.

According to the Dallas Morning News, sewing and handwork gave Laura Kay Houser's life "balance"—guiding the stay-at-home mother through life's daily challenges as well as more trying ones, namely her son's illness. In 2006, Houser and two partners turned that restorative hobby into a business venture. Houser now spends most of her days behind the counter, eyes figuratively glued on her latest project.
Inside the colorful shop, shelves overflow with fabrics by brands such as Andover, Benartex, and Marcus Brothers, as well as with books, kits, and experimental needlework patterns inspired by the paintings of Jackson Pollock. Experienced teachers pop in to lead a variety of classes, ranging from sewing basics to workshops with renowned authors and designers. As the culture of quilting has always involved gifting quilts to those in need, the store publicizes volunteer opportunities involving quilting and other crafts.
