With indoor and outdoor activity spaces, dog-loving attendants on staff 24 hours a day, and lots of friends to play with, dogs may not want to leave Woof World once they arrive. Whether they're there for daycare or all-night boarding, canines can run through agility courses, clamber up climbing structures, and wrestle with toys in an indoor play area equipped with rubberized flooring to protect paws. Outside, they wallow in bone-shaped swimming pools and drink straight from the hose in the warm sun. The pampering doesn't stop at bedtime—dogs have their pick of a variety of mattresses and dog beds piled with blankets and pillows, and there isn't a cage to be found. Staff members stay throughout the night, keeping watch to take care of any overnight potty emergencies and prevent toothpaste pranks from fellow boarders. All dogs must meet the facility's prerequisites to stay, including passing a behavior test, up-to-date vaccinations, and other requirements.
The warm tones of jazz saxophones, the orchestrated quarrels between flutes and oboes, and the reanimated bellows of Elvis Presley can be heard resonating within the walls of the 1,200-seat Allentown Symphony Hall, which has housed the likes of Placido Domingo, Bing Crosby, and Sarah Bernhardt. The venue's schedule swells with symphonic and non-orchestral showings including performances by the Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Jim Brickman's 15th Anniversary Holiday Concert, California Raisins, Steve Lippia presenting "Simply Sinatra," and more.
Armed with an army of innovative and certified shutterbugs, Olan Mills Portrait Studio provides families with high-quality portraits, continuing a mission that was established more than 75 years ago by founder Olan Mills Sr. Skilled in the art of capturing infants, children, families, and bunny-ears-giving ghost orbs on film, Olan Mills’s experienced smile snappers will take a series of poses amid a variety of backgrounds and lighting options. The studio is equipped with a selection of props—including numbers for birthdays, toys, and boxes—and patrons may bring their own photo-enlivening items from home. The resulting photos find their way to prints in natural color, black and white, or sepia tones; they can also be immortalized in the studio's signature Old Masters style, a canvas brushed with highlights to recreate look of an oil painting. Like the gentlemanly mariners of ages past with their full schedule of sea-battles, the photographers welcome appointments, but do not require them.
With experience as a commercial photographer and digital-imaging specialist, Judy Reinford photographs kids, seniors, families, and pets. Judy accommodates clients by holding shoots at a preferred outdoor locale, allowing subjects to swap outfits in between posturing and grinning, and providing trained animal handlers to ensure posing pets act obediently. Proofs are reviewed in a one-on-one meeting with Judy, and customers decide which digitally enhanced shots might best befit Judy’s selection of variously sized prints, mounted prints, digital images on CD, and canvas wraps. Judy can also create custom holiday cards for clientele celebrating the winter holidays or other special occasions.
