More than 90 nontoxic paint colors, 600 pottery pieces, and an unlimited amount of creativity—that’s what guests find at Splatters Pottery, Painting & More when creating their own masterpieces. During a painting session, guests take the first step by selecting a plate, mug, or other glass or mosaic piece, and then cover it in doodles or paint. Once guests are satisfied with their work, they hand it over for firing and return in a week to pick up the finished product. The kiln-fired pieces are also food safe and wash easily, making them extra efficient for eating soup in the bathtub. For avid artists, parties and camps let guests sculpt their own pottery from clay, make a mosaic, or drizzle colored sands together.
Though the workouts at Bodyplex Alpharetta are eclectic, there's a common thread running through them—they were designed to be enjoyed, not just endured. In this spirit, you can take part in everything from Zumba dance parties to energetic kettlebell workouts set in a supportive group environment. Many of the sessions can help build up strength for application in day-to-day activities, such as carrying your refrigerator to the park. In personal training sessions, meanwhile, a fitness expert can tailor workouts to meet your fitness goals.

Built into the rippling foothills of Appalachia, Atlanta Motorsports Park hosts a world-class road course designed by famed Formula 1 architect, Hermann Tilke. Tilke honored the natural landscape with his 2-mile racetrack, weaving high-speed straights amongst steep elevation changes. He even included two signature turns, inspired by Belgium's Spa-Franchochamps and the 'Carousel' turn found on Germany's fearsome Nurburgring. Track members can test their private vehicles' mettle on the track at any time, pushing engines to their limits on professional-quality pavement.
In addition to its professional-grade road course, the venue is also home to a world-class karting track. Open to all visitors, the kart course runs almost a mile, and features a stunningly-steep 43' in elevation changes built to Commission Internationale de Karting's Level A standards. The owners invite visitors to bring their own karts, but guests can always rent vehicles from the fleet. Each rental comes with a complementary helmet and driving suit to protect the driver from whipping winds, harsh sunshine, or point deductions in race's fashion show portion.
The sound of volleying balls and shuffling feet fill Silvia Tennis Academy's courts as beginning and experienced players alike hone their skills through clinics, leagues, lessons, and classes targeted to tutor any age. The crew of background-checked trainers and staff members attend at least three continuing-education events each year to sharpen racquet skills and hone teaching techniques. Cardio Tennis classes—which director Viola Madej promotes through seminars and training—get kids moving to improve athletic performance and inspire active lives, and adults sweat to similar high-energy workouts that fuse fun with aerobic training. Players who want extra practice or to play matches on their own time can use the academy's online court-reservation service, which books court time without requiring an old-fashioned phone call or singing telegram.
The philosophy of Johns Creek Yoga is that, regardless of whether students attend classes to attain spiritual peace, physical harmony, or stress-free quietude, practicing yoga always transforms a person’s body, mind and spirit. During classes, knowledgeable and well-traveled instructors⎯all certified by the National Yoga Alliance⎯lead students through a variety of yoga poses, which are able to transform upright humans into downward-facing canines. Beginning and advanced yogis are welcome, and the studio also schedules sessions for teens and toddlers, in addition to specialty classes such as hot yoga and gentle yoga.
