Triple B Clays throws more targets than any other club in the U.S. Yet that impressive figure is nothing when compared to the number of clay pigeons that have taken flight on their fields over the past quarter of a century. Over those decades, Triple B Clays has also assembled a team of certified instructors, who work with students of various ages and skill levels.
Though Prado Olympic Shooting Park hosts law-enforcement-training programs, civilians of all skill levels can also practice on the venue?s outdoor shotgun field, pistol range, and rifle range. The park hosts regular public events?such as pistol and skeet shoots?and keeps an onsite pro shop.
Situated in the Prado Basin, Raahauge's Shooting Enterprises is bordered on all sides by national forest, hills, and mountains. On its widely varied ranges, visitors take aim at targets ranging from stationary bull's-eyes to airborne clay pigeons and other clay targets during Raahauge's Golf with a Shotgun exercise. Costumed members of the Cowboy Action Shooting Club add color to the proceedings once a month, when they meet to test their marksmanship amidst the frontier façades of an Old-West-themed rifle range.
Davey's Locker guides guests onto the water aboard the mighty Freelance, an state-of-the-art open-water and open-deck touring and fishing boat. During full-day and evening fishing trips, anglers of all experience levels ply the more than 40 miles of coastline off Catalina Island, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, hitting up fishing hot-spots that change with the seasons. During tours, a full-service kitchen, indoor restaurant with booths, and an indoor lounge keep passengers comfortable. Crew members are onboard to provide any needed assistance, and other amenities, such as computers and live bait wells, help with the fishing process.
Beyond Alamitos Bay, out into the blue Pacific, the waters swell with whitecaps and schools of fish. That's where Long Beach Marina Sportfishing's two boats can be found seven days a week. Lead by seasoned captains and anglers, they sail for half-day and three-quarter-day fishing trips. Buoyed atop the calm ocean with the seafloor far below, they cast baited hooks for sand bass, barracuda, and red snapper. You might also catch halibut and lure rockfish. For an even more picturesque adventure, the company launches twilight expeditions Wednesday through Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
