A massage from Jessica Yvette is like two spa treatments in one. Jessica slathers bodies with organic coconut oil during her kneadings, which include Swedish massages or her personal favorite, lomi lomi massages. The coconut oil is primarily used to help her hands glide effortlessly over the body, but it also acts as an intensive moisturizing treatment for the skin. Plus, because it has anti-bacterial properties, it may help fight acne much more effectively than coating the back in toothpaste.
However, Jessica doesn't use the oil during every massage. Sometimes, she needs to use focused pressure to work out deep kinks, such as with her deep-tissue massages, and sometimes, her clients stay fully clothed while she stretches out their limbs, such as with her Thai massages.
When she's not reducing stress through massages, she's doing it through body-scrub sessions with aromatherapy, spa facial therapy, and reiki energy healing.

When a year of physical therapy failed to heal the neck injury Jonathan Mates sustained during a rugby match, he turned to acupuncture. Like 2,500 years worth of patients before him, Mates found that acupuncture swiftly relieved his symptoms.
Inspired, he enrolled at Five Branches University, an academy of Chinese medicine where he specialized in pain management and sports medicine. Even after graduating at the top of his class, however, Mates didn’t feel his education was complete. So he built a raft out of acupuncture needles and sailed to China, where he studied with acupuncturists and physicians. Upon returning to the United States, Mates spent more than 300 hours in orthopedics training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Today, Mates' specialties also include rotator-cuff injuries, neck injuries, and sciatica pain. These are part of a wide breadth of clinic services, including holistic-healing treatments such as cupping, herbal medicine, and massage.
At Chateau Belle, in a space designed to conjure the feel of a Parisian flea market, lash luminary Megan Alexandra uses organic products and NovaLash and Shavasana extensions to pamper peepers and dress them with luxurious fringe. Patrons select lashes to suit their own orbs from frill in an array of lengths and thicknesses, which Alexandra carefully applies over 60–90 minutes, and organic, anti-wrinkle gel pads soothe the eye area more than a staring contest with a bubble bath. Floral-mist essences delight with gentle haikus to nostrils and refresh with healing particles as guests acquire flare extensions for coquettish eye-batting or full extensions that enable train-stopping winks. Except for the glue, the salon uses entirely organic products, and lashes last for approximately three weeks, after which fills are recommended.
David McVeigh grew up in Ireland where he competed in road races and worked as a sports therapist. While he enjoyed his work, David felt limited in his abilities to rehabilitate his athletes. He?d learned firsthand the positive effects of massage therapy at his job and decided to make the switch, enrolling in a two-year course to learn the ins and outs of massage and bodywork.
Today, David is joined by a team of practitioners who bring a wealth of diverse experience to the quaint two-room studio. Hari draws from years of experience practicing massage therapy in India, and Priya likewise honed her skills abroad, having travelled extensively around the world. Amanda and Guillermo's warm personalities and intense focus provide massage therapy sessions that are relaxing both physically and mentally. Together, the team offers Swedish, deep-tissue, sports, and prenatal massages, using heated pads and less-oily massage creams when applicable. Inside their serene and posh location, the team treats a variety of clients suffering from various body injuries such as chronic lower-back strain resulting from computer engineer work or inflamed muscles springing from strenuous exercises.
