When it came time to decorate her salon, master colorist Ginny Thompson decided on a rockabilly theme: she painted sections of the wall to resemble exposed bricks and dotted other areas with records. This same creativity can be seen in Thompson’s cut and color treatments, in which she draws on 15 years of experience and a cache of products from Pravana—a haircare line that steers clear of hazardous ingredients and animal testing.
Kate Allen considers herself a bit of a magician—she transforms drab hairstyles into chic coiffures with a flick of a blow dryer and backcombing. But these skills didn’t magically appear overnight. They’re the result of five years of field experience, in which she wore the hats of stylist, independent consultant, and manager. The Thin Spa's staff has a two-pronged approach to enhancing their clients' lives. First, they help them reduce fat and tighten skin with ultrasonic cavitation and radio-frequency treatments, which are more high-tech than building a thinner-looking robot clone. Alternatively, clients relax under a range of soothing massages, including Swedish and more in-depth myofascial-release modalities.

Nearing the three-decade mark since opening its first store, Kokoro cooks up quick and tasty Japanese meals using fresh, never-processed ingredients, including Colorado-grown co-op vegetables whenever possible. Kokoro?whose loose translation is ?heart? and points to the staff?s passion?also provides a drive-thru option, extending the same courteous, full-service experience even for the demanding task of accommodating the governor?s motorcade.
