It's a Great Day for Dancing's experienced instructors guide students through lessons in waltz, foxtrot, swing, and more. With each class tailored to the students' individual learning styles, burgeoning rug cutters should see immediate results in their hip-twisting abilities. Students can also request instruction in less ballroom-bound styles, such as salsa, West Coast swing, and shag. Aspiring hoofers test out their moves at Friday dance parties, where they can shimmy and shake alongside fellow students, instructors, and the reanimated legs of Gene Kelly.
The team at Designer Maid tidies up homes and commercial facilities with unusually meticulous care—which makes sense when you consider that the owners also run an industrial janitorial business. Running that business has armed Michael and Shirley Wells with the know-how to tackle the grimy kitchens, messy living rooms, and unkempt commercial work sites they encounter each day. The team shows up to each location wielding environmentally friendly cleaning products designed to vanquish dirt and odors without leaving behind any caustic fumes or inappropriate thought bubbles.
Humans can find the missing pieces for their homes and kitchens with the lightly used furnishings and appliances at Second Chances Thrift Store, but homeless animals are the ones that really benefit the most from each sale. That's because the shop donates all proceeds to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, a no-kill shelter and a foster program for homeless animals that might otherwise roam the streets with their possessions in a handkerchief tied on a stick. A large inventory of kitchen appliances, books, and furniture flows constantly through the store. Additionally, shoppers can find antiques peppered throughout the selection, identifiable by their black-and-white appearance.
For more than 20 years, Hair Emporium's stylists, under the guidance of owner Linda Buck, have been fashioning 'dos with professional products from Thermafuse and Sukesha. Shampoo treatments cleanse scalps with organic suds, whereas all-nutrient, low-ammonia color renovates tress hues without the need for cumbersome Wet Paint signs. Brazilian and Japanese hair-straightening systems defrizz strands and airbrush tanning imbues sun-parched pelts with a natural glow.
Brother Wolf Animal Rescue began in 2009 as a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping the community of homeless pets and promoting responsible pet ownership. Over the course of its first year as a licensed shelter, the nonprofit organization was able to find homes for 1,300 cats and dogs.
In addition to working with animals in need of behavioral training, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue also stocks pet supplies and provides grooming services. Its specialty grooming services include bathing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning for the needs of specific dogs, as well as cats pretending to be dogs.
