The staff at Cadence's Body Contouring & Health Spa combines the technology of med-spa treatments with natural services such as organic manicures, custom massages, and traditional waxing. Its five anti-aging facials and four body-contouring treatments benefit from advances in the spa industry such as infrared saunas, Endermologie machines, and LED phototherapy.
Inside Serenity Spa, clients are pampered with a wide range of traditional spa services, including waxing and classic facials. Complementing this is a large stock of advanced cosmetic technology such as microdermabrasion wands, oxygen facials, Endermologie, hair services, customized and contoured spray tans, and no-chip polish cured with UV rays.
When Jen Phumin and her mentor Janice Jones—a 40-year veteran of the beauty industry—opened their salon, they chose the name Salon Dragonfly because of the dragonfly's association with change, adventure, and prosperity in Asian culture. Together with a staff of trained stylists, they seek to fulfill their clients' desire for transformation. After consulting with guests, stylists use Aveda products during trims, formal styling, and color treatments. As they work, the salon's expansive windows bathe stylists in natural light, and dragonfly artwork and sage-hued walls inspire tranquility.
As visitors to Spa Theology slip into plush robes and slippers and nibble organic treats in the relaxation lounge, stress falls away?so does the rest of the outside world. Evoking a secluded country farmhouse perpetually filled with warm, late-afternoon light and truckloads of all-organic crops, the spa spirits guests away to a realm of rough brick walls, creamy curtains, and recessed nooks glowing with tea lights. Once pamperees have reached at least a level eight on the ahhmeter, they're ushered into a treatment room to be plied with only botanically-based, paraben-free salves.
Committed to keeping beautification in tune with nature, The Water Lily employs paraben- and sulfate-free hair products and grooms bodies with Cirepil, a low-temperature wax. A knowledgeable, licensed aesthetician whisks away uninvited hairs from their ill-chosen dwelling places, leaving skin stubble-free. Skillfully conquering a variety of bodily locales, including eyebrows ($15), upper lips ($10), and chins ($10), the shop's experts also gently administer Brazilian-style waxes ($65). Depilated physiques proudly exit The Water Lily boasting smooth, healthy skin and the confidence to flaunt newly sleek surfaces in front of friends and wookiees. The Water Lily welcomes clients into its tranquil, nontoxic beauty emporium Tuesday–Saturday.
