PCO is geared to helping the youth Ages 5-12 of North Houston to have a fun, safe, and educational summer. We have set up a summer day camp program that your children will enjoy and parents will love because we keep the children’s minds working all summer long and prepare them for the next grade. All while having fun.
For 25 years, Texas School of Bartenders has minted professional-grade mix masters in its hands-on classes held in classrooms that simulate real bars. The school's training labs brims with 42 bar stations loaded with up-to-date equipment, including touchscreen registers and serving trays made of hover boards. Full 40-hour courses run throughout the day to accommodate people with designs on pursuing bartending as a career. Covering drink recipes, customer service, and mixing techniques, introductory crash courses throw students into bartending in the same way Spartans taught their children to swim—by throwing them into a shark tank.
Walk into any of BreWingZ Sports Bar and Grill's 19 locations, and you'll be faced with many decisions. First, of course, is the food: the sports bar's crisp, juicy wings come in more than 25 different sauce flavors from classic suicidal hot to orange ginger. The mozzarella cheese sticks are carved from a cheese brick, breaded, and fried to order. And then there are the salads, sandwiches, burgers, and wraps. The family-friendly restaurant even gives kids an extensive selection with six child-friendly dishes, some of which include the same signature items their parents enjoy. But once you've ordered your food, there are a few more dilemmas: Which of the plentiful beers do you choose? Which game on the many massive HD televisions do you watch? Which one is the fork, again? Luckily, the spot's easygoing atmosphere and bounty of entertainment doesn't quite necessitate speedy decision making.

After only one year of serving as a destination for alternative fitness options, Houston Press named Ekam Yoga Center the Best Yoga Studio in its "2010 Best of Houston" issue. The health-conscious, eco-friendly, ghost-free studio lets prospective students sign up for a bevy of mind-body courses, including the calorie-burning Latin rhythms of zumba, the mind-clearing, tension-melting of meditation, and the muscle-bendiness of a yoga class such as hot yoga, gentle yoga or prenatal yoga. If you are a new student, you get a free Intro to Yoga course, offered weekly on Wednesday nights, to help you acclimate to poses and ready your mind for an episode of Criminal Minds. Almost 20 courses are offered weekly and classes begin as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 7:30 p.m.
Doctors and nurses at Physicians Weight Loss Centers guide width-whittling in medically supervised weight-loss programs. The programs give clients a jump-start on healthful eating and fitness habits, putting an end to diets composed solely of deep-fried wedding cakes. Diet counselors help clients reinvent their eating habits with the assistance of multivitamins and mineral tablets, which aim to suppress cravings for sugar while boosting metabolism. Vitamin-B12 and Vitamin Cocktail injections seek to increase energy and possible benefits also include strengthened concentration and a more chipper mood.
Some of the more intensive programs include complete doctor's exams, biometrics analyses, lab work, and EKGs. These programs can focus on the reduction of either carbohydrate or fat consumption.
Highly trained staff at Juergen’s Gymnastics Academy educate gymnasts ages 18 months and older in fundamental gymnastics skills during lessons in their 21,000-square-foot gym. Parent/tot and preschool classes focus on listening skills and basic movement for students 18 months to 4 years old, and girls’ and boys’ recreational studies for children age 5 and up progress toward fundamental gymnastic exercises such as high bars and scaling bare concrete walls. Cheerleading classes work to prepare students for squad tryouts, and tumbling trains tumblers age 10 and up in athletic trickery and Alpine summersaulting on the floor and the gym’s 40-foot-long trampoline. Four weeks of lessons can be taken at any point during the eight-week summer session and do not have to be continuous.
