Lord Eye Center's showroom currently boasts thousands of frames from over 30 designer lines. Its refracted selection has expanded over the past 30 years under the direction of Lord Eye's founder, Dr. R. Whitman Lord, who is vice president of the Georgia State Board of Examiners in Optometry. His staff of certified optometrists can straighten a distorted reality typically within an hour, using the on-site optical lab and privileged access to the Matrix's source code. Bringing some panache to impaired pupils, the Lord Eye Center carries a plethora of frames from designer brands such as Candies ($128+), Harley Davidson ($128+), Guess ($168+), and Nike ($198+). Single lenses ($69+) discipline myopic peepers into long-distance focus and bifocals ($99+) render both newspapers and stop signs comprehensible.
With locations in 10 states across America, Stanton Optical helps clients everywhere from Georgia to California achieve better vision. Its shelves are stocked with more than 3,000 frames and sunglasses from high-end brands, including Coach, Calvin Klein, and Armani. Full-service on-site labs help optometrists immediately craft glasses and tend to monocle-cloning experiments without the delay of sending eyewear elsewhere.
Doctors David J. Matthews and Jeffery S. Pockl helm Devine Eyes, a comprehensive optical boutique with a staff fluent in Spanish and English. After graduating from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in '94 and '93, respectively, the doctors went their separate ways; Dr. Matthews worked on treating patients with glaucoma in Georgetown, and Dr. Pockl worked as a staff optometrist in the U.S. Army, examining peepers and equipping them with lasers. The two decided to partner up in 2003 and open Devine Eyes, where they perform comprehensive eye exams, treat eye diseases, and recommend luxury frames from brands such as Fendi and Prada.
It takes Lord Eye Center's opticians one hour to produce a pair of prescription glasses. Working at an onsite lab, they fit frames from more than 30 designers, using an electronic tracing device to render the thinnest lenses possible. The shop's optometrists can also prescribe various types of contact lenses, from continuous wear and disposable to bifocals and colored lenses. Dr. Whit Lord, owner of Lord Eye Center, scouts out the latest cornea-hugging designs as a member of several advisory panels for contact-lens manufacturers.
At Martinez Eye Care, Dr. Lopa Sheth sharpens patients' sight with glasses and contacts of any variety or prescription. Woolfson Eye Institute’s founder and medical director Dr. Jonathan Woolfson is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon who has performed more than 70,000 laser vision-correction procedures. Such clinical experience has helped him earn the trust of other medical professionals; he has performed more than 300 surgeries on his fellow eye doctors and trained and certified more than 100 North American LASIK surgeons. He has also fine-tuned the eyesight of professional athletes, including Ovie Mughelli, Curtis Lofton, and Kroy Biermann of the Atlanta Falcons.
Dr. Woolfson draws upon this extensive experience each time he customizes a laser procedure to his patients’ needs. He and his staff of doctors begin every treatment with in-depth consultations, where they determine the lasers, instruments, and novelty sound effects needed to successfully enhance eyesight. Once they’ve completed their procedures, they also offer eligible patients a Lifetime Assurance Plan, granting them free lifetime access to any fine-tuning surgeries.
At Ingram Comprehensive Eye Care, P.A., the experienced Dr. Ingram and his team welcome patients for thorough eye exams, corrective eyewear or contacts, and treatment of ocular disease or trauma.
