You'll receive 90 minutes in front of a camera that features the behind-the-lens magic of Brittany's stylish eye. Each session includes the photographer's time, basic creative editing of 20–40 images, and a personalized online gallery. Purchased images receive more extensive edits including blemish editing, color toning, and other perfecting post-procedures, which can be discussed in-depth with Brittany. Use your session for headshots, glamour shots, or too-cute shots of a newborn dressed as a puppy cuddling with a puppy dressed as a newborn. This Groupon is also good toward group shots of family, friends, and rugby teammates.
A state-of-the art photography studio, Prelude Photography snaps scores of striking images, capturing memorable moments more effectively than making snow angels that melt when shoveled indoors. Specializing in photographing families, children, and pets, Prelude offers a play area that keeps kids occupied. A large, bright studio ensures that subjects remain relaxed while cutting-edge cameras and photo software magically illuminate smiles and charmingly transform leering stares. Large monitors are present to immediately showcase striking shots; most prints are printed within the hour, and free digital enhancements are provided. Select your three favorite images and receive one 10x13 print, two 8x10 prints, four 5x7 prints, four 4x5 prints, and twenty-four wallet prints; for an additional $15, you can add two more print sheets and receive digital images as well. Or, for an additional fee, opt to have a photographer sent to your home, office, or tree house for an off-site session (fee varies based on location, distance, and subjects).
Melissa Butscher freezes the advance of time with photographs capturing children and young adults at dynamic, unstaged moments. During the 30-minute session, Butscher will photograph up to two subjects at either her home studio or at any location within a 30-mile radius of Butscher's North Hills studio. Immortalize twins during breaks from their endless debates over the axiom of infinity, or capture a high-school graduate and his or her imaginary friend before they go off to separate colleges. Butscher's portraits ring of authenticity, with the pure personalities of her subjects always shining through, like the ship-summoning beacons of a billion lighthouses.
The master florists at Cox Flowers expertly tuck complementary blossoms into bouquets and vases within their fragrant storefront. An array of bouquets expresses lively affection with assorted bundles of hot-pink spray roses, light-pink alstroemeria, and miniature carnations arranged in baskets or glass vases. Popular choices such as the Warm Thoughts arrangement, with its with pastel sprays of pink carnations, yellow and lavender daisies, and yellow gladioli, expresses sympathy that one’s previous flowers died. For birthdays, the Your Special Day's roses and hydrangeas form the shape of a cake, complete with hot-pink candles.
While crafting 3-D computer models as an architect, Genesis Inman realized that she enjoyed the artistic aspect of her career far more than the basics of construction. She began to delve into this love of creating beauty during her maternity leave, experimenting with photography and eventually turning that side interest into a full-time endeavor. These days, Inman searches deep within her camera for inspiring images of nature, heartwarming pictures of families, and personal yet professional portraits for businesses. She specializes in fashioning themed compositions for children, snatching up youth's precious, fleeting moments before they're marred by facial hair.
As part of its efforts to raise awareness about the difficulties veterans face upon returning home, Seeds of Hope, a project of the Youth Advocacy League, creates community gardens to help support veterans and their families. Youth groups such as Girl Scouts work with veterans to plant and maintain the gardens. This partnership helps show appreciation for veterans while also providing powerful learning experiences for children and teens. The organization’s efforts caught the attention of TribLive after the group was honored in the Jefferson Awards for Public Service Youth Service Challenge.
