Thirty-eight years ago, while working as a decorator for Sears department store in Fort Worth, Pat Reese met Noah Bazer. Bazer was a master upholsterer who crafted custom slipcovers for stores around town. She asked him to teach her his trade, and he took her on as a student. After four years, she was skilled enough to become his business partner. They worked together as Bazer & Reese for years, and their reputation for high-quality slipcovers spread throughout Texas. In 1990, after Bazer lost his wife of many years, he left the company and moved to Florida.
Today, Reese leads a team of artisans in crafting slipcovers and draperies of the same high quality that Bazer was known for. Customers can peruse a wide variety of fabrics, including eco-friendly green fabrics made from hemp, organic cotton, and other sustainably sourced fibers. The artisans then craft the fabrics into coverings for sofas, chairs, and other furniture. They also create draperies and custom upholstery.
The Furniture ‘N’ Floors staff helps home and business owners attractively anchor rooms with a hand-curated selection of flooring essentials. After consulting with the client on particular needs and style preferences, team members comb through materials and brands, delivering helpful suggestions and breaking the news that there’s no such thing as scratch-and-sniff carpet. The shop’s selection of hand-scraped hardwood casts rooms in the glow of rustic elegance, and Scotchgard-protected carpeting gives bare feet a comfortable, long-lasting prairie upon which to pad. Similarly, the laminate flooring at Furniture ‘N’ Floors provides a cost-effective alternative to hardwood, and porcelain tile adds panache to bathrooms, kitchens, and mosaics of your third-grade teacher. Though service times vary, the team can typically install materials as soon as the next day.

As an authorized dealer of Simply Amish, Woodbine sources its stock of contemporary, Arts and Crafts, and traditional home furnishings from a network of Amish wood shops that still cut, shape, sand, and strain each piece of lumber by hand. They can customize each piece's wood, style, finish, and size, or gander at a customer's sketch for a king-size racecar bed and provide a quote. Roughly 8–12 weeks after first receiving the order, each Amish craftsman inscribes his signature and your name into the finished piece's solid hardwood, which ranges from red oak to soft maple to quartersawn white oak. As a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, Woodbine subscribes to an eco-friendly mindset by limiting wasted materials and using certified CARB-compliant plywood for the backing of cased goods.
