Certified trainers, a flexible schedule, and a focus on safety are at the core of Aim Safe Training Academy, for which range-safety officers oversee the activity at local indoor and outdoor ranges. Eight firearm-safety classes range from the NRA's First Steps Pistol Orientation to Texas Parks & Wildlife's Student Hunter Education course, all of which can be adapted into private lessons as well. And in addition to qualifying students for hunters' certifications, the instructors also prepare them to apply for concealed-handgun licenses thanks to a Texas DPS?approved curriculum.
United Cheer's coaches train aspiring cheerleaders aged? 3 and older, teaching skills from basic forward rolls to more advanced back handsprings and standing tumbling. Along the way, they follow a "perfection before progression" approach, ensuring safety by requiring students to perfect basics before moving on to higher-level moves.
Founded in 1977, Huntington Learning Center employs a battalion of highly trained tutors who help students succeed both at school and in standardized testing. The academic evaluation, consisting of exams performed in a simulated classroom environment, yields a comprehensive collection of data that tutors use to design a custom learning program and a personalized, in-class obstacle course.
Roland Omene founded FrogTutoring with the belief that the first and most important step to successful tutoring is to find people who aren't just intelligent, but who are able to inspire their charges academically and personally. The certified and background-checked tutors follow three essential principles to help K–12 through college-age students both learn and grow more confident in their studies. First, the tutors follow the student's school curricula to review subjects that might have been missed. Then pairs work a chapter ahead so that tutees can be a step ahead in class and impress friends by predicting the future. Knowledge coaches will also share effective note-taking and organizational skills so that students will continue to learn more, even without a tutor by their side.
Each tutor is either a current student or alumnus of Texas Christian University or another Fort Worth–area university and has a 3.5 GPA or better in their tutoring specialization to better help students baffled by specific core subjects. During summer breaks, math and science camps in subjects such as chemistry and computer programming bolster confidence, fusing personalized tutoring with camaraderie-building group exercises.

Understanding that each child learns differently, the staff members of Sylvan Learning Center’s numerous study centers design custom lesson programs. Based on the results of standardized testing, diagnostic tools, and one-on-one interviews, the staff works with students to help them firmly grasp basic skills such as reading, writing, math, and how to remember facts without tattooing them to their chests. Programs target students in kindergarten through grade 12 and mold to various learning styles, helping kids feel more comfortable in the classroom. After-school or summer classes can ready high-school students for the rigors of the ACT or the SAT, or wow college admissions officers with their superior writing skills, exemplary test scores, and willingness to arm-wrestle the school mascot.
