A stress-free oasis in the heart of downtown, Seattle Executive Med Spa offers a tranquil counterpoint to the bustling energy of the city just outside its doors. The spa?s aestheticians and therapists practice their crafts within private treatment rooms, where medical-grade facials help correct blemishes and a combination of traditional and Hawaiian massage styles untie pineapple-size knots or pry away floral shirts that have taken root on backs and shoulders. Though the team specializes in relaxing treatments, they also look to help individual health and wellness through medi-spa treatments. Board certified physicians provide several non-invasive treatments such as Coolsculpting and Ulthearpy. Treatments for anti-aging and weight loss are also available. They can also accommodate large groups for events such as weddings, bachelorette parties, or corporate functions.

Do you use any products or brands you're particularly proud of? What makes them uniquely effective?
Our staffers are highly trained professionals in their field. Our massage therapists offer a multi-modality approach to maximize results. We specialize in therapeutic deep-tissue massage at our office, and offer the pampering that goes along with the spa experience, like hydrating body wraps, customized facials, hot-stone massage, and Swedish massage, to mention a few.
Our aesthetician uses Bio Elements skincare products. With Bio Elements, the aesthetician is able to customize your facial and products to your individual needs and preferences. Bio Elements is made in the USA. The company has been around since the early 1990s and has a good reputation for product purity and effectiveness. No animal testing is involved with their products, either.
What is the best reaction you?ve ever gotten from a client?
"Your office is so relaxing and comfortable."
"Your massage therapists have changed my life. Without their skillful hands, I would not be able to get through a day, much less two weeks, without pain." (This is true for myself as well. I get weekly massages to be able to maintain an active, relatively pain-free lifestyle at 60-something.)
"I'm so relaxed, I feel like Jell-O after my massage."
"I had no idea how toxic my body was until I had regular massages."
"Your massage therapists have increased the circulation in my hands and feet, and now I can ride my motorcycle for hours at a time again."
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
I worked in the chiropractic field for over 25 years. I have worked in the massage field for over 10 years, and I believe in helping people to realize their full potential for a relatively pain-free lifestyle without medication. I, myself, am a walking success story of what a difference taking care of ourselves with regular massage can mean in the quality of our lives. It is for this reason that I have devoted over 35 years to this alternative type of healthcare.
The staff at Aveda Caruh Salon knows what it?s like to want to bring your inner beauty to the outside. As their website says, ?We think our exterior of our building looks awful and are glad that ?beauty is on the inside.?? They may not be able to do much with the exterior, but owner Cyndi DeSoto and her salon and spa teams bring the beauty of their clients to the forefront with hair and skin services that use plant-based Aveda products and organic essential oils squeezed from delicate flower organs.
Since it opened in 1988, the salon has not only expanded its space and gone from styling mullets to long layers and pixie cuts, it?s also been voted one of the Top 200 Salons in America by Salon Today magazine. It isn?t just the precision cuts and colors, clarifying facials, or muscle-soothing massages that make it a top salon; it?s also the exuberant spirit of the staff. On average, Caruh donates about $40,000 per year to local charities, and every first Thursday, the salon closes for three hours for the staff to meet, bond, and celebrate successes.
While studying hairdressing in the late 1980s at an Aveda salon, Lisa Vann fell in love with the company's products and global ethics. She decided to further her relationship with the beauty business by helping to develop new Aveda haircare lines and traveling the world to demonstrate the brand's products and techniques to other salon professionals. The owner and acclaimed stylist of Milagros Salon Spa has had her work featured in several publications, including Glamour, Marie Claire, and Essence, and received four consecutive nominations for international hairstylist of the year from the Canadian Mirror Awards.
In keeping with Lisa's Aveda upbringing, Milagros's staff performs each salon and spa treatment with botanically derived Aveda products. Stylists brighten strands and fading area rugs using Aveda Full Spectrum hair color blended from 97% natural ingredients. Body treatments—such as the rosemary-mint wrap and sea-salt polishand custom facials detoxify and balance skin with plant extracts and hydrating creams.
A native of Poland, Celina Lewandowski first moved to the United States in 1991?where, for 12 years, she provided home care for elderly patients suffering from eating disorders and intestinal problems. She eventually discovered colon hydrotherapy, became a certified colon hydrotherapist and endermologie technician, and decided to open her own clinic and use the gentle body-cleansing system to relieve intestinal dysfunction.
At her clinic, European Rejuvenation Center, she helps fight bloating, irritable bowels, constipation, and fatigue with a LIBBE open colon-hydrotherapy system. This system is easy to self-operate and, like a treehouse on the moon, affords clients as much privacy as they desire. Celina also combats toxins with ionic footbaths, nutritional therapy, lipomassage, endermologie, and infrared-sauna sessions.
A beauty-industry veteran for more than 20 years, owner Inez Gray fosters a creative environment at Habitude Salons and Spa, where her energetic staff beautifies clients with customized hair-, skin-, and body-care services. Her team of innovative stylists and aestheticians enhances exteriors with the aid of Aveda and Bumble and bumble products and goes to great lengths to ensure each client's experience parallels the calm obtained from a bedtime story read by Morgan Freeman. While clients indulge in such services as essential mani-pedis and Brazilian blowouts, Habitude's eco-friendly space wraps around them, helping to soothe their senses with its contemporary western decor and eco boutique packed with fair-trade gifts and trinkets. The salon makes regular donations to its good-karma bank by continually giving back to the community and by serving as a training ground for up-and-coming green stylists, who earn their shears through the Crux Academy.
