As people age, their fitness and health needs change. That’s why the staff at Terrio Physical Therapy and Fitness designs its programs to match the needs of growing kids, adults, and seniors and help them maintain their health and functionality through a range of therapy, wellness, and fitness programs. Therapists help patients produce proper speech sounds, learn to live with chronic injuries, and help alleviate muscle and joint pain. Nutritionists implement diets for those living with diabetes or cancer and help people achieve their weight-loss goals.
At the Terrio Edge, which caters to athletes, athletic trainers offer sports-specific training to teach skills such as how to properly swing a baseball bat and never order a hot dog while in the outfield. The Edge also offers strength and conditioning for every sport, as well as general-fitness training for both athletes and nonathletes.
Stephanie Hidalgo knows the importance of being able to step back and see the bigger picture when it comes to understanding health. As both a nutrition counselor and dance and fitness instructor, she works closely with her clients to understand where their hurdles originate, whether it's lack of energy, weight gain, or inability to jump over actual hurdles. At My Dance and Fitness Studio, she and a handful of instructors host group Zumba or Insanity! workouts, which integrate cardio and movement to burn calories and shed pounds.
