From the 10-story peaks of Timber Falls Adventure Park's Hellcat roller coaster, visitors can view the entire family-fun facility before quickly gliding back to the grounds. The Hellcat is one of three high-speed rides that keep adrenaline levels soaring at the facility. The park also hosts a log flume with two steep vertical drops, and a gravitational-force skyscraper ride that sends passengers as high as 160 feet in the air. Between high-speed public-transit simulations, guests can enjoy relaxing features such as the 72-hole miniature golf course. Tall trees and wooden bridges sit between each hole, providing the experience of jungle exploration without the inconvenience of having to hunt down your dinner—a Hot Pocket in a jungle-dweller’s refrigerator.
One of the reasons why Ultrazone Laser Tag's owners are so enthusiastic about the activity is for the team building it fosters among its participants?and for the chance to win. At the 5,000 square foot arena, laser taggers track each other down through dark, narrow tunnels with glowing violet, red, and neon orange black-lit murals that change the feel from room to room.
The movie-set-like scenery places players amid such backdrops as a surreal forest or a spaceship motif that prepares gamers for inevitable teatime with aliens. As firing begins, strategy and teamwork guide players through the adrenaline-fueled game, which can help to build strong bonds during a birthday party, a corporate event, or a fun day out with family and friends.
There's something for kids of all ages and interests at Kids in Motion. Toddlers and preschoolers can amuse themselves with rubber balls in the open play area, while older children navigate overhead tunnels and a punching-bag forest. Miniature Monets can stretch their creative muscles in the arts-and-crafts center, budding engineers can build their own railroad in the train room, and aspiring scientists can learn about nature with hands-on experiments in the science and conservation room. Children with a flair for the dramatic can even create a skit and put on a show in the Center Stage room. Whatever activity children choose, Kids in Motion offers a safe, clean environment where little ones can explore their interests.
NickelWorld hosts a selection of more than 100 games to entertain adventurous imaginations and quick-digited game wizards?and they all either cost just a nickel per play, or are free. While meandering through an arcade of more than 20 video games, patrons can slay aliens, henchmen, and the occasional evil cottontail along the way. Classics include Pac-Man, Galaga, and Frogger, in which amphibians halt oncoming traffic through persuasive arguments. After that, they can set off to visit more than 60 redemption games, in which sure-handed prowess translates to great prizes. And for those who just can't get enough of NickelWorld, the arcade also offers parties for up to 40 guests.
There may be several different structures for thrill-seekers to ascend at Aerial Adventures, but one thing's for certain: they'll find a bird's-eye view waiting for them at the top. If they choose the zipline, they'll soar through the treetops at heights of up to 45 feet. On the ropes course, adventurers clamber up rope ladders and teeter across balance beams, all the while safely attached to a belayer below. Whereas on the climbing towers, guests crawl skyward until they reach a door at the top of the towers for a breathtaking view of the surrounding foliage. Visitors can also ride a mega ball down a 300-foot runway or jump from more than 35 feet in the air from the free-fall jump.
Magic Waters' vast expanse of twisting slides, heated wave pools, and colorful attractions accessible to all visitors entertains entire families. While swimmers play, troops of lifeguards with extensive certification and training ensure safety, and mascots stand guard to pose for pictures with children and warn against the dangers of going down a water slide in a full-body costume. After careening through the mysterious darkness of the Abyss tube slide, guests drift down 1,200 feet of lazy river, sun themselves on the shores of the wave pool, or opt for more adrenaline with the Double Dare Drop, which plunges riders 75 feet in seconds. Younger aquanauts puff up their water wings in the interactive complex of Tiki Island or leapfrog over floating lily pads in Little Lagoon.
After exploring the twists and turns of rivers and waterslides, guests refuel with pizza, tacos, burritos, sandwiches or salads at Ocho's Cantina or indulge in cold treats at the Thirsty Turtle. A lineup of upcoming events entertains all ages with activities, while the park stays open until 9 p.m. on Friday Family Fun Nights and Magic Mondays.
