At Fitness Together, getting fit involves getting focused and fired up to achieve. Here, certified personal trainers guide clients of all skill levels through motivating boot-camps and exercise programs designed to meet goals loftier than a giraffe’s basketball hoop. To help their charges torch calories and tone muscles as efficiently as possible, the trainers incorporate evidence-based training methods, such as intervals, tempos, and fartlek, into each fitness regimen. Filled with cardio challenges and resistance training, workouts are tailored to individual needs and paired with nutrition tips that help the body build lean muscle. In-studio sessions take place in a private, spa-like studio, flush with energizing red walls and functional training tools such as medicine balls, kettlebells, and gymnastics rings.
Trained in many styles of hatha yoga, the instructors at Freedom Yoga empower yogis of all experience levels to harmonize the body and mind in non-heated yoga classes. Lessons range from vinyasa flow sessions designed to acclimate beginners up to more rigorous classes for experienced yogis or hobby-seeking oxygen tanks.
At CrossFit Seekonk, instructors spur groups of students through intense, ever-changing rounds of CrossFit. The facility breaks beginners in slowly, allowing them to advance through different workout levels at their own pace. Typically, classes begin with a thorough warm-up, followed by a high-energy Workout of the Day (WOD) built around a variety of functional movements. Many of those movements utilize the facility's equipment, which includes climbing ropes, rings, and plenty of weights.
EVOLUTION Pilates and Nutrition sculpts bodies and minds through comprehensive, individualized approaches to pilates, yoga, nutrition counseling, and personal training. Pilates mat classes strengthen your abdomen, back, and hips while improving posture and developing flexibility without bulking up or stressing joints. Easy to follow and fun to flow through, these classes are physician-recommended for exercisers of every age, fitness level, and daytime dramedy preference. Mat movers meet throughout the week for hour-long blocks, typically in the morning and afternoon hours. To view a complete schedule, click here.

After giving birth to her oldest child, Debra Cunha turned to yoga to restore her body, improve her health, and calm her frazzled mind. Instantly taking to the practice, Debra went on to study for years in the hatha, Vinyasa, and Anusara traditions under a variety of seasoned yogis. Today, Debra captains her own yoga studio where she conducts beginner and advanced classes in the Vinyasa and gentle flow styles.
Nestled in the heart of the historic Pawtuxet village, the studio is an intimate space with shelves of flickering candles and yellow walls adorned with eastern artwork. Atop the studio's hardwood floors, Debra and her team of certified instructors guide students through challenging poses designed to improve alignment, strengthen muscles, and reduce stress. Striving to create a supportive community, they encourage students to explore the city together after class by trying out a local restaurant or drilling all the local crossing guards for their family meatloaf recipe.
