Family Fitness and FitZone for Women Centers are spread across eight locations, but they share a common goal: to help guests find their ideal physique. They accomplish this mission by filling their 15,000- to 25,000-square-foot facilities with ellipticals, arc trainers, and treadmills that engage cardios, cores, and limbs alongside group training classes led by certified personal and group fitness instructors. Visitors can also keep tabs on their progress with the centers’ fitness monitoring program and body mass testing.
At Ladies Fitness, women earn slim physiques and a healthy sweat with personalized workout regimens that can include fitness classes, personal training, and exercise on the center’s equipment. Trained instructors lead more than 30 classes each week, keeping workouts from going stale with fun, diverse sessions such as step aerobics, Zumba, yoga, circuit training, and kickboxing. The gym’s personal trainers push members toward their individual fitness goals, whether it’s to shed pounds, develop muscle mass, or build a machine that will transport them to a time when they were more athletic.
A five-time American Taekwondo Association World Champion, senior master Von Schmeling, began Victory Martial Arts to teach pupils confidence and leadership skills while imparting martial-arts techniques. Classes capped at 30 students, with at most 10 students per instructor, cover disciplines such as general martial arts, krav maga, and self-defense for thwarting assailants and heavily armed spiders. Budding martial artists hone their craft alongside loved ones in family sessions or practice maneuvers in age-specific sequences for kids, teens, or adults.
The instructors at Seung-Ni Fit Club lead group weight training, aerobic kickboxing, boot camp, and core focused classes. The gym's Body Challenge blends all four of the above classes with a nutritional-counseling program, creating an intensive four-week full-body exercise regimen. Seung-Ni Fit Club was founded in 1989 and has been providing top-notch group fitness classes and nutritional counseling for 25 years. The Seung-ni Body Challenge, a 4 week lifestyle transformation program, has changed the lives of over 10,000 people leading to a combined total weight loss of over 40,000 pounds!
At Shinn’s Tae Kwon Do, Master D.S. Shinn—who is a 7th-degree black belt and has been teaching for 19 years—and his assistant instructors lead adults and children in martial-arts classes. The instructors offer a combination of tae kwon do and hap ki do, teaching self-defense techniques that also bolster physical fitness. The experienced and credentialed instructors also offer family classes where parents and their children can practice together.
