State-licensed and nationally certified massage therapist Rhonda C. Steger shares her gifts with clients at Solace Massage. During consultations, she discusses their personal needs and wellness goals before soothing muscles with deep-tissue kneads, gentle prenatal massage, and other modalities. For an additional cost, soothing hot stones and aromatherapy complete the relaxation experience.
April Sturz, a.k.a. "Joy," has a deeply personal relationship with her treatments because they're responsible for her own well-being. It's her mission to help everyone find the same fulfillment. Within her cozy studio, Joy can promote deep relaxation with reiki or aromatherapy or alleviate tension more directly with firm acupressure treatments.
In Domani Salon and Spa's foyer, a chandelier among earth tones exemplifies the feelings the staff wishes to inspire: lavish beauty mixed with a pure serenity. On the left, a café dispenses coffee, smoothies, juices, and sandwiches, and on the right, rows of beauty products stand at the ready. And directly in between, a front-desk coordinator awaits to lead clients to a styling chair or treatment room. Owner and master stylist Tricia Voigt—alongside her team of hairstylists and spa technicians— pampers women, men, and children alike with services including haircuts, coloring, massages, and facials. Domani also curates a variety of wedding packages so brides can focus on the moment instead of worrying about hair, makeup, or glitter stains.
Despite what its name might suggest, Hair Formations focuses on more than just the locks on top of your head. The family-owned and operated business provides a vast range of salon, spa, and tanning services. That's especially true of its Hubertus location, where you can enjoy skincare treatments, spray tanning sessions, and more than five different types of massage.
To create a tranquil, relaxing experience, The Spa of Cool Springs incorporates elements of nature into both its treatments and its decor. Guests walking into the reception area are greeted by comfortable brown leather armchairs and a substantial marble-and-stone desk. In the treatment rooms, deep-green walls and botanically inspired prints bring the outdoors in. Therapists perform a variety of massage modalities within their dimly lit hallows, using earthy tools such as warm river rocks and brown-sugar scrubs. During skincare treatments, the fragrant and sustainably farmed ingredients in Éminence Organic Skin Care products soothe weary skin. Aestheticians promote a balanced complexion with probiotics and tea-tree oil, or employ a citrusy, herbal formula to target men's ingrown hairs or stubborn Muscle Milk mustaches.
When 38-year-old Patrick Finster decided to become a massage therapist, he lacked experience. He had never received a massage, much less administered one. But, he took a leap of faith and enrolled at East-West Healing Arts Institute to study massage therapy and reflexology. In addition to his local training, Finster has traveled to China to gain a deeper understanding of the art. As a result, the massage therapist is well versed in Eastern and Western modalities, including deep therapeutic bodywork, Chinese cupping, foot reflexology, and Thai stretching.
