Poise Studio is home to two studios that offer a wide variety of class styles for different fitness levels and preferences. Before mapping out your month of taut transformations based on the upcoming schedule, consider the type of classes offered and the color of your yogi belt. Barely bendable novices can get comfortable in Yoga I/II, which provides individualized attention during fundamental stretches. Fusionists will gobble up yoga with Dr. Linda Rowe, who incorporates her chiropractic knowledge and kung-fu daydreams. Pilates classes are designed to strengthen the core muscles in order to maximize strength, flexibility, and control over spiderwebbed stairways in emergency evacuations. For those who prefer to shimmy and hip-pop their way into mental and physical harmony, belly-dance classes are also offered.
The mission of Body and Brain Yoga—alongside its affiliate yoga centers—is to make yoga accessible to everyone, everywhere. To this end, each team of instructors modulate movements based on Korean sun do to match each students’ needs. Classes emphasize aligning the body and mind equally through stretches, breathing exercises, and meditation, and each session is capped off by a 10-minute tea time, during which students and instructors can socialize or reenact Alice in Wonderland's interview with the Easter Bunny.

After venturing into the fringe dance worlds of the scarf dance and the sticky-maple-candy dance as a result of last year's resolution, send your dancing toes to the pole with this year's. Today's deal gets you into a 90-minute intro to pole dancing class at Diva Den Studio for $15 (a $30 value). To find your perfect schedule, visit the site and pre-register online, but you must be 18 years of age or older with a valid ID before you're allowed to shimmy.
Diva Den Studio is the largest pole-dancing studio in the Northwest. With more disciplined (and certainly slimmer) poles than the Parthenon, Diva's instructors will provide an intense aerobic workout that flexes your severely atrophied inner sexy. Introductory classes are designed for small groups (classes are always limited to 11 students) to provide personalized attention and an emphasis on pole safety. Harness the power of your curvaceous body to build confidence and muscle tone in your core, back, shoulders, and legs. As the seductress buried deep within saunters her way to the surface, you'll engage rarely used muscles, sometimes resulting in day-after pangs of soreness and a confident strut.
Don't let your trusty pet's pole skills exceed your own. Diva Den will shift your self-image from cute Koala to fiery, feisty, and fully in charge. To help justify your recent decision to replace your living-room furniture with metal poles, buy a few extra for friends.
Dive Den Studio has received waves of happy customer testimonials, including:

Sunrises and sunsets pour through Yoga OMazing's panoramic windows, which also offer a clear glimpse of Mount Hood's snow-covered peak. The studio's minimalistic decor and heated bamboo floors keep students focused on their practice and comfortable on their mats. While teachers lead hatha and vinyasa classes, music reaches every ear thanks to a surround-sound system. The teachers also tends to the ambience when they host candlelit full-moon yoga events catered with pizza and kombucha, a fermented beverage that obviously wards off werewolves. Their concert series extends the theme of Yoga OMazing doing more than the average yoga studio on behalf of its students by refreshing practitioners with live music and a glass of wine or tea.
Our goal is to bring yoga to EVERY BODY. In addition to daily vinyasa and heated power vinyasa classes we have classes for seniors and beginners as well as those who want or can only do a gentle practice. Our yin, restorative, and meditation classes complement anyone's practice and are included in all of our packages.
Yoga NW's calm instructors tap backgrounds in yoga, meditation, and psychotherapy to nurture holistic harmony in an array of supportive yoga classes. The studio's diverse schedule of yoga classes accommodates students with sessions seven days a week. Within the studio’s spacious practice room, natural light glints off rich vermilion walls as students unfurl personal or rented yoga mats atop burnished hardwood floors. During Integrated Vinyasa classes, attentive instructors help fledgling yogis build poise and flexibility with gentle, prop-assisted Lyengar poses and challenging sequences of Vinyasa postures, adjusting each pose based on each student's level of experience. Alternatively, in Yin Yoga, pupils methodically loosen tense hips and spines by holding poses longer than William Henry Harrison held the record as most flexible U.S. president.
At 84 locations throughout the country, CorePower Yoga invites students to creative classes that meld movement, breathing, and music into entrancing routines to energize the body and mind. Signature CorePower Yoga classes lead students through dynamic, Vinyasa-style flows with demonstration and verbal cues, helping pupils of all experience levels tone core muscles and cultivate balance. During construction of all its new studios, CorePower Yoga strives to use recycled content, install eco-friendly and efficient mechanical systems, and ensure that any waste created doesn't end up in landfills or just piled in Mr. Henderson's garage.
