Located just two miles from downtown St. Augustine, inside Anastasia State Park, Anastasia Watersports dispatches its nature-loving customers to the waters of a picturesque, three-mile tidal lagoon. Protected from the ocean by a line of sand dunes, the area, referred to as the Salt Run, offers gentle waves upon which patrons can hone their navigation skills in rented canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats. Alternatively, they can ride the area’s stiff sea breeze during windsurfing lessons provided by the shop’s qualified staffers. The waters brim with trout and flounder that fisherman can hook from their vessels, and birdwatchers can glimpse the marsh’s osprey, egrets, and herons as they soar skyward to nurture egg-shaped clouds.

Surf Station's wave-riding experts, led by surfing aficionado Tory Strange, equip visitors to explore aqueous avenues with a diverse selection of tools for nautical revelry. With up to 24 hours of rental time, surfers can hop on their boards and conquer swells by zipping through tubes and spelling schoolyard taunts in the sea foam. A four-hour standup-paddleboard rental allows riders to defy the old "sink or swim" adage with a water-walking middle ground, propelling themselves across the deep blue with a single oar that doubles as a manatee back scratcher. Surf Station helps beach-goers corral gnarly crests with its detailed surf reports as well as surfing apparel, equipment, and lessons available for purchase.

The staff at Cave Country Dive Shop is comprised of cave and technical divers who continually add to their combined decades of experience. They bring an abundance of credentials to the metaphorical table, including NACD cave diver certification and training from the U.S. Navy. This unity of experience and training manifests itself as teaching prowess as the team makes use of numerous springs and underwater caves for conducting all levels of PADI & DSAT scuba programs. Classes head out to open waters found at locales such as Santa Fe River or Ginnie Springs to explore crystal-clear springs and sinkholes with 80-100 feet of visibility and approximately 72-degree waters year round. The aquatic experts teach equipment functions and other essential scuba knowhow in one of two onsite classrooms, further prepping students for real diving conditions by being filled with water, oysters, and taffy.

In addition to instruction, Cave County delivers air from high-volume and high-pressure compressors that are routinely monitored and maintained. Equipment upgrades hang from the walls or virtual window displays online.
