The Florida Renaissance Festival is a wholly different world??a world of jousts and costumes and turkey legs. Here be dragons, or so the armor-clad knights would have you believe. At the festival, live shows recreate the romance of the Renaissance with references to Shakespeare and swordplay on 12 different stages. Meanwhile, merchants share the secrets of their crafts, blowing unbreakable glass for spectators and selling hammered pewter goblets. Visitors, dressed in period garb or not, can wander on their own, exploring the shows and stalls, or trying their hands at games of chance while gnawing on scotch eggs and chocolate cheesecake.
In an effort to banish the long waiting lines and spread-out obstacles of other mud runs, the organizers of Armageddon Ambush, The Extreme Mud Run, have designed a fun and unique competition that is extreme and unpredictable with more than 15 professionally constructed obstacles built by licensed contractors, including climbing walls and tire pits. To keep things unpredictably colorful, they also set up powdered color ambushes throughout the course. An after-party with beer, food, and live music offers participants an opportunity to dance off the mixture of mud and paint, a much more fun alternative to showering and a much safer one than rolling around on a cop's freshly washed squad car. (However, washing off is also available.)
For two weekends every October, the sounds of laughter and German folk music echo across a field in Lake Worth. The American German Club's traditional Oktoberfest celebration, which sprawls across 10 acres under an open-air pavilion and a tent, has been going on for 40 years now and doesn't show any signs of stopping. Each day kicks off with the parade of flags and, sometimes, a ceremonial keg-tapping. Afterward, indoor and outdoor kitchens perpetually sizzle up authentic German bratwurst, leberkäse, and pastries. Meanwhile, bartenders pour four styles of Hofbräu Bier, as well as imported liquors and domestic brews. While vendors display traditional German crafts, the festival's stages erupt with folk-dancing, choral singing, and Bavarian tunes from two German groups, Heldensteiner Band and Die Lustigen Bayern.

As the old adage says, "Stuff happens." What training do you and your staff have to stay ahead of the unexpected?
We have trained professionals including EMS, sheriff's officers and 12 security guards.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
This will be our 7th Annual West Palm Beach Carnival event. Our patrons often tell us they can't wait until next year. It's a family oriented event.
Produced by the Future 6 Helping Hand Fund and a joint effort by some of the West Palm Beach area's most celebrated restaurants, the Feast of the Sea treats guests to drinks, live music, and some of the finest seafood dishes local chefs are known for. Converging in one place from restaurants such as Sushi Jo, Nick & Johnnies, Salt 7, E.R. Bradley's, BB Kings, Hullabaloo, and many more, the chefs transform fish and shellfish into memorable meals with recipes inspired from North America, South America, European, Asian, and Caribbean regions. The event is family friendly too, with a kids' play area and not a single TV screen playing Jaws.
For a quarter of a century, Irish Fest has brought musicians, food vendors, and the general public together for a celebration of Ireland's culture. The outdoor festival's atmosphere echoes the old country with an arts and crafts marketplace and a pub tent, where attendees devour Irish cuisine such as bangers and mash, or if they're feeling rebellious, mash and bangers. Everyone from fiddlers to Celtic rock bands to accordion players keep the crowds dancing to live music throughout the weekend. The Keltic Kids’ Korner ensures little ones also stay entertained with bounce castles and kid-friendly shows.
