Most popular service: Cleaning, exam, and x-rays
Pro Tip: Daily flossing adds 6.4 years on to your life expectancy. We laugh at bad jokes.
What is one of your signature services? How is it performed?
We do laser-assisted periodontal therapy. The patient is numbed with local anesthetic, any calculus deposits are cleaned, and the gum tissue is lasered to remove unhealthy tissue, reduce bacteria and periodontal pockets, and stimulate the healing of healthy tissue.
When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
I collected animal skulls as a child and checked out their teeth.
Out of your entire repertoire, which is your favorite service to perform and why?
I like to fill cavities because I get to get rid of bacteria and gunk and create a brand-new-looking tooth with tooth-colored filling materials
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
My physician says whitening your teeth can make you look 5?10 years younger.
After earning his doctorate in dental surgery from Ohio State, local boy Dr. Buck remained in his home state to practice cosmetic, restorative, and general dentistry. He and his team build long-term relationships with their patients by remaining clear and honest about all procedures, whether it's a teeth whitening or full-mouth rehabilitation when disease, injury, or decay has becoming seemingly overwhelming. They understand trust is just as important as comfort, which is why they also offer oral sedation and nitrous oxide to ease patient anxieties about procedures such as root canals, dental implants, or the extraction of wisdom teeth not smart enough to stay out of trouble.
At Schneider Family Dental, Dr. Matt Schneider makes use of dental technology that wasn’t available when the practice first opened its doors in 1968. In fact, much of it wasn’t available a few years ago. 3-D x-rays give dentists a full view of teeth, allowing them to observe virtually every spot of decay and any frisbees stuck on the roof of the mouth. The office's Cerec machine crafts porcelain crowns custom fitted to patients in one visit, and tooth-colored composite resins keep fillings a secret.
But the team isn’t bogged down with technology so much that they neglect the comfort of their patients. IV sedation relaxes nervous or needle-wary patients while allowing them to continue giving feedback during treatments.
The teeth-whitening professionals at DazzlingWhiteSmileUSA believe that a brighter smile is a gateway to success, and they help clients achieve this goal with a unique variety of effective whitening products. The premium take home kit, for example, harnesses professional-grade peroxide gels and LED lights to accelerate the whitening process while causing little to no sensitivity, brightening chompers up to 12 shades in the process. Alternatively, they offer Forever White teeth-whitening pens ideal for touch-ups or on-the-go whitening. The convenient design dispenses whitening gel directly onto teeth without the need for refrigeration or lights. DazzlingWhiteSmileUSA also offers remineralization gels, which reduce tooth sensitivity and strengthen enamel by replenishing important minerals. All items are kept in a compact blue carrying case for easy transport and storage.
Using all-natural gels and fully customized tooth trays, Pro Smile Teeth Whitening brings professional-caliber dental treatments to homes across the country. After molding the kit to their own teeth?a process that takes just over a minute?customers fill the tray with gel and start their smile-brightening journey. Enhanced with an optional LED treatment, the whole procedure takes about 30 to 60 minutes a day for 7 to 14 days, and results last up to six months with regular brushing. The trays retain their shape permanently, so unless customers lose them or sprout a set of tusks, they can repeat the whitening process as often as necessary by ordering gel refills.
Powell Village Dental's dentists and hygienists get to know their patients' dental history and dental hopes for the future so they can customize treatments. An initial oral exam checks canines and their soft gummy holders for decay, problems with soft tissue, and chunks of ham, while x-rays reveal hidden cavities and tooth alignment issues. The cleaning scours teeth of built-up stains, tartar, and plaque, and buffs them to a pearly shine before the concentrated fluoride treatment combats decay and leaves toothy palaces fortified with dental turrets.
