Eyes are often the first thing you notice about a person, unless they've got an extra leg. Luckily, the aestheticians at Evidence Nail & Beauty Boutique specialize in making eyes more beautiful. Clients can solicit their expertise for a swift brow wax or for lash extensions, which promote volume without messy mascara. The salon also offers mani-pedi services, as well as spa princess days to pamper preteens.

Sometimes the little things make all the difference. Do you bake any supplementary services into your main services?
We use hot towels, aromatherapy, hand massages, [and] foot reflexology at no additional charge.
Besides making clients happy, what do you like most about your job?
The most I enjoy about working as a massage therapist is the opportunity to relieve stress and release muscle tension. This allows the client to come from a massage session more relaxed and better able to handle life's little challenges.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
The atmosphere at Divine Wellness is relaxing with soft music, candles, aromatherapy, and warm sheets (table warmer is used) to provide the ultimate in comfort and relaxation.
Licensed massage therapist Susan Cui at TAO Wellness Center approaches massages with a Taoistic perspective. The Taoist philosophy states that humans should embrace the change that occurs in their environments and within their bodies. Throughout life’s many changes, such as aging and discovering that the entire world is a computer program generated by nefarious machines that run off the juice from our brains, Susan helps bodies cope. Head-therapy massage frees skulls from tension that causes headaches and poor sleep, and hand therapy pinpoints nerves that correspond to other body parts to reduce toothaches and chest pain.
Connie Pruitt of Heart to Hands Healing, Inc. has worked in the healing arts for more than 30 years, including 13 years of bodywork experience. The licensed massage therapist began as a medical laboratory assistant, but now she’s an expert in numerous healing arts, including not only traditional massage styles, such as Swedish and deep tissue, but also myofascial and reiki techniques. She customizes her approach during each session to release her clients’ tension, rejuvenate their muscles, and heal their injuries.
The best dental procedures improve teeth without making themselves noticed. At Smile of Decatur, Dr. Mauzard Benjamin sticks to that philosophy by making sure evidence of his treatments stays virtually invisible. Instead of using metal amalgams to fill cavities, for example, he uses tooth-colored composite resins. Instead of metal bracket braces, he straightens adult teeth with Invisalign clear braces, which are as difficult to spot as a gecko when you need a gecko to help move your couch.
Frankincense. Sandalwood. Spikenard. These are just a handful of the essential oils relied upon in ancient Egypt, China, and India for their beneficial qualities. Today, the certified practitioner from At the Table Health Ministries employs these oils during raindrop massages, simultaneously restoring bodily and mental balance.
