Chefs sling a full menu of American classics at Brix Restaurant and Sports Lounge, where professional athletes occupy more than 30 flat-screen televisions and a massive projection screen. They specialize in pub-style appetizers, such as buffalo wings and nachos, as well as pizzas, burgers and wraps, and homestyle entrees. Kitchen staffers also take great pride in their fried okra, which meets batter and oil whole, rather than cut into slices or carved into comically small totem poles.

Exposed-brick walls surround the dining room's gleaming hardwood floors, full bar, and dark leather armchairs, which all work in unison to create a contemporary atmosphere during televised UFC matches and football games or karaoke and trivia nights. The outdoor patio houses additional seating for al fresco meals or attempts to hail passing jets.

As the name implies, the trio of doctors at Brixton Chiropractic and Acupuncture deals out noninvasive chiropractic and acupuncture treatments geared toward vanquishing pain without the use of drugs. They extol the body’s ability to heal itself and attempt to stimulate that property with a combination of spinal adjustments that relieve pinched nerves and sterile needles to reroute the body’s energy. In addition to plying their healing services in the office, they also arm clients with self-care information, such as exercises and proper nutrition.

Club Albee is a hookah lounge, cigar bar, and dance club rolled into one chic package. DJ Saad provides a mash-up of music and videos nightly while professional belly dancers wiggle their tummies as if they were full of live butterflies. Kick back in the cozy hookah room as you blow smoke rings or octagons, or bust a move to the saucy beats while sipping your bubbly brews. The club has a strict dress code to keep the atmosphere upscale and to stop grizzly bears from entering. Coat check is complimentary.

For 27 years, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park has entertained patrons of al fresco drama with works by the Bard and other noted playwrights. This year's summer season returns to the newly renovated Myriad Botanical Gardens' Water Stage with two productions by William Shakespeare and one by Anton Chekhov. Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor kicks off the season with a jovial love triangle set in Elizabethan middle-class society (June 16–July 9). Written in 1895, Chekhov's The Seagull inundates audiences with the romantic and artistic conflicts of four diverse main characters conveyed through melodramatic subtext and semaphore arm movements (July 14–30). A Midsummer Night's Dream closes out the season with the classic comedic tale that intertwines the lives of mischievous fairies, stern parents, and young couples in love (August 4–September 3).

Garnering attention from the Oklahoma Gazette, Thunder Alley Grill & Sports Lounge slings sandwiches, pizzas, and wraps at buzzing patrons in a casual club atmosphere. Test drive new wooden dentures by slicing into the menu's spinach veggie wrap's tomato-basil tortilla, slathered in pico de gallo and stuffed with mushrooms, asiago, and sprouts ($7.99). Or take the culinary wheel to adorn 8-inch pizzas with three toppings ($5.99) culled from a smorgasbord of pepperoni, black olives, spicy italian sausage, banana peppers, and other savory accouterments ($0.59 for each additional topping). Other savory selections include the Thunder Reuben, which shudders under the weight of roast beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing ($8.29) piled higher than a giant's special order of buffalo-ostrich wings.
