Mountain Lakes Wedding Association tour designs a show and tour blossoming with ideas and inspiration for marriage-minded guests. As the day begins, guests have the opportunity to enter prize giveaways and mingle with professional wedding vendors at the bridal show to discuss photography, floral arrangements, and tips on converting a wedding gown into a yurt. Afterward, a limo sweeps nearly newlyweds away to ponder seven potential mountain venues for vows or receptions: Marina Resort, Northwoods Resort, Alpenhorn Bed and Breakfast, Best Western Plus Big Bear Chateau, Inn Der Bach, Gold Mountain Manor, and Arrowhead Springs. While touring the resorts, soon-to-be brides and grooms sip refreshments and silence rumbling stomachs with the provided lunch, while newly gained knowledge helps nix pre-formed plans for breadstick wedding bouquets and uncle-led polka bands.
With its comfortable classrooms, computer lab, lounge, and private study areas, American English Institute gives newcomers to the country a preview of typical school settings. But, its curriculum is tailored entirely to nonnative English speakers. The Intensive English program, a nearly full-time eight-week course, represents the core of the curriculum. The course helps students climb through five levels of English aptitude, from beginner to advanced, and quickly shapes their reading and writing skills, grammar, and speaking and listening abilities. Students can also opt for goal-specific programs, such as GED or university prep.
In 1976, Joan Barnes—a Californian mom frustrated with the lack of spaces where she could take her kids for safe and age-appropriate play time—took matters into her own hands and founded Gymboree Play & Music. In the decades since Gymboree’s founding, Joan’s vision of a safe place where youngsters could build confidence and creativity has come to fruition and spread to 30 countries around the globe. Staffed by attentive and expertly trained instructors, each Gymboree outpost adheres to a curriculum of activities designed by experts to foster the development of children’s’ cognitive, physical, and social skills through structured play and close readings of Goodnight Moon. The staffers also conduct entertaining classes that cover subjects ranging from music to sports, imparting valuable lessons of imagination and physical activity to developing minds. To further set apart her business, Barnes employed nationally renowned playground designer Jay Beck to design the proprietary play equipment at her centers.

The group estimates that its musicals and straight plays draw a consistent crowd of about 6,000, only a few of whom are ghosts that live in the theater’s basement. Numerous professional actors and musicians have passed through the sets of the company’s trademark crowd-pleasers since the company's 2011 inception.
