Chef Levi and Chef Joannetta rely on a combined 50 years of experience to whip local ingredients into catered and buffet-style meals in Asian Pacific, European, kosher, diabetic, and vegetarian cuisines. During lunch and dinner buffets, guests hush tummy rumblings with entrees from one of seven international categories. Buffets overflow with heaping portions of crusted brown-sugar ham, fruit blintzes, candied yams, and Ethiopian delicacies as hungry guests line up to refill empty purses. Alternatively, during catered breakfasts, guests munch on a choice of 25 or 50 morning staples, filling bellies with hot items such as omelets and fried chicken with waffles, pastries such as scones and sweet rolls, and energizing brews such as coffee and juice. Guests opting for baked sweet treats receive 12 small sweet potato pies baked from scratch and ready to launch at the faces of miniature clowns.

The Quality Cleaning Services’ team of technicians has wreaked mind-boggling transformations, from creating useable kitchens out of chambers choked by piles of garbage, to forging fresh living spaces from rooms strewn with dirty laundry and errant toys. Cleaners with an eye for detail scrub down residential surfaces to prepare homes for moving day or simply a less cluttered life. The cleaners also offer pressure-washing services for outer surfaces ravaged by weather and patches of moss that are just trying to invite the houseplants over for dinner.
Kairos Kafe’s feast formulators craft hearty Hellenic dishes to fill mouths with breakfast or lunch, depending on the sun’s position in the sky. Rise with the rosy-fingered dawn to enjoy the eggs florentine, two busted-yolk eggs over made-from-scratch hash browns with florentine sauce, spinach, mozzarella, and parmesan ($5.95). Lunchfarers saunter in to have an order of Kairos’s chicken tenderloins one of eight ways, including Horst's Hot & Spicy—grilled chicken tenderloins with buffalo sauce and two side dishes ($6.95). For a power lunch, pound the Bernard’s Black Angus burger—grilled and topped with muenster cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onions ($7.95)—then spike your napkin and dump a glass of the house-made Kairos Luscious lemonade all over your appetite's head.
The professional local musicians representing B'hHam Singing Telegrams deliver melodious messages with an accompanying instrument to special someones. Senders first choose a number from the song list, which includes such ditties as "Happy Birthday," "I'm a Believer" by The Monkees, and "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz, then decide on which bush to hide in or lawn statue to imitate when the big day comes. Upon delivery, the formal-attired warbler puts on a one-man show and delivers a card with a custom message to the recipient
Professional lab technicians utilize modern chemistry equations and scientific tests to scrutinize patients' health. But Any Lab Test Now isn't a doctor's office. It’s a place people can go to get comprehensive lab tests that doesn't require them to make an appointment, have insurance, or memorize the Hippocratic oath. The lab can test anything from current blood pressure and physical fitness to potential blood disorders, triglyceride levels, and even liver function—all handy pieces of info to have before starting a workout regime or preparing to fly overseas. In lieu of waiting to receive a bill, patients know about and pay for the day's services upfront, giving the mailman more time to deliver care packages to astronauts.
More than 12,000 different plants line the meandering paths of Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Spread across its 67.5 acres and more than 25 gardens are 30+ works of outdoor sculptures on display, making it one of the largest collections of public horticulture in the US. Between walks in the gardens, guests can relax in a Japanese garden with a traditional teahouse, and kids can opt into one of the educational programs to understand the science behind botany.
The botanical gardens also host events year round, such as antique shows, plant sales, and cocktail parties, so that the plants don't get bored and fall asleep. Additionally, the lecture series brings in big names and novelists to discuss their trade and put on shows for the garden's visitors.
