A baseball and softball academy, D-Bat Tulsa welcomes players of all ages and levels to practice and train at its spacious facility. In addition to a fully equipped pro shop, batting cages, and gym, D-Bat Tulsa offers personal and group instruction, memberships, and summer camps.
Though they operate more than 200 locations in upwards of 30 states, the team behind U.S. Baseball Academy aims to make each young athlete's experience a personal one. Their four- or six-week camps are taught by local instructors who are current or former coaches at the high school or college level, and typically offer a 6:1 or better player-to-teacher ratio for intense, professional-style training. The Academy's proven itinerary of hitting, pitching, fielding, and baserunning drills was developed by an advisory board of college coaches and Major League players, including Cy Young Award?winner and ace pitcher Brandon Webb.
Legacy Sports Academy eliminates offseason woes by keeping baseball players' bats and gloves in shape throughout the year. With huge indoor batting cages that are 65-feet long, 15-feet high, and 14-feet wide, players can hone long-range accuracy on both pitching and hitting abilities and practice interpreting the elaborate signal dances of far off batting coaches. Fifteen-foot high ceilings, artificial-turf ground covering, and siding nets also help to keep players focused by eliminating fears of wild bounces. The batting cages may also be outfitted with adjustable Jugs pitching machines or regulation portable mounds. The outdoor baseball field at Legacy Sports Academy is built to college-league standards to keep players' uniforms stocked with an ample supply of regulation dirt. Though the field only permits bunting and tee hitting, players can practice fielding and base running to their cleats' content. Customers can reserve a date and time for field or cage rental by contacting Legacy Sports Academy by phone or by visiting the facility during office hours.
Brimming with 10 beers and an assortment of Old World festivities, Blue Moon’s Oktoberfest fills visitors with the customs and culture of Deutschland. Rather than bathing in a vat of mulled apple cider, guests can bask in the spirit of autumn by sampling seasonal brews such as Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale, Bob’s 47, and Warsteiner Oktoberfest (beer not included in today’s deal). Visitors will compete for T-shirts, hats, and the shotgun seat in the family Batmobile at a pretzel toss, where participants try to catch Bavarian snacks on plungers they’ve affixed to their heads. After running in the Bier Stein Challenge’s frothy relay race, fest-goers can devour hearty German cuisine from food vendors (food not included in today’s deal) or toast touchdowns with their new pint glasses as they watch a televised college-football bout. A silent auction will promote peace by raising funds for two veterans’ organizations, and a live band will help guests polka away animosity still lingering from the previous night's Monopoly game. Revelers may also enter a raffle ($1/ticket) for a chance to win Redhawks baseball tickets, a Coors Light golf bag, and a Boulevard tall metal cooler.
