Nearly 90 years of history have boogied across the spring-loaded maple dance floor at Cain's Ballroom. Once known as the Carnegie Hall of western swing, the ballroom played a key part in the boot-stomping genre’s history as the one-time home of Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys, who used the neon-lit space to host raucous dances, broadcast a radio show, and do their laundry in the bathroom. Still a landmark of Tulsa’s music scene, the ballroom retains much of its original charm, from the barrel-vaulted ceiling to the oversize portraits of past stars to the fiddle-shaped light fixtures.

For 27 years, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park has entertained patrons of al fresco drama with works by the Bard and other noted playwrights. This year's summer season returns to the newly renovated Myriad Botanical Gardens' Water Stage with two productions by William Shakespeare and one by Anton Chekhov. Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor kicks off the season with a jovial love triangle set in Elizabethan middle-class society (June 16–July 9). Written in 1895, Chekhov's The Seagull inundates audiences with the romantic and artistic conflicts of four diverse main characters conveyed through melodramatic subtext and semaphore arm movements (July 14–30). A Midsummer Night's Dream closes out the season with the classic comedic tale that intertwines the lives of mischievous fairies, stern parents, and young couples in love (August 4–September 3).

The facility is the first in NFL history to have a retractable roof, which sightseers can view from the field during public gridiron tours. While strolling across Reliant’s stadium floor, fans can relive their favorite memories of Super Bowl XXXVIII, or search every nook and cranny for John Madden’s lost bus keys.

Jenks Dance Academy is hip-hop and ballet, it's tumbling and it's jazz...but it's never quiet. That's the common denominator in this otherwise versatile dance school. Regardless of genre, all classes are active, engaging, and led by professional dance instructors keen on keeping things quick-footed and interactive. Jenks welcomes boys and girls as young as 12 months old for classes and camps that incorporate fitness, creativity, and self-discipline. So whether your daughter's enrolled in the princess camp?a ballerina-focused dance camp with props such as wands and tiaras?or your kid's strutting their stuff with swagger in the superstars/hip-hop class, they'll be honing their flexibility and coordination, building physical strength, and building the self-confidence necessary to drop jaws in the dance recital or produce aisle.

Jenks's studio is staffed with professional instructors. It's also equipped with modern enhancements in place to facilitate structure, dexterity, and safety. For instance, there are one-way observational windows, raised wood floors that prevent injuries or kids tiring out, and a separate kids' play room. The center also features a boutique with shoes and apparel.
