The W-League Rookie Franchise of the Year in 2010, the Colorado Rush take on all slide-tackling opposition with grace, skill, and determination. Cheer on the Rush as they host their northerly neighbors, the Victoria Highlanders, in a battle of pinpoint passing, fierce shots on goal, and precisely catapulted orange slices. A beverage and a baked-good treat (a $3–$5 value each) provide fuel for enthusiastic shouting and ringing high-fives. Fans should remain glued to seats during the break for the Thunder Team, members of a special-needs program who will perform a halftime show. Seating is general admission (a $6 value each for adults; a $3 value each for children), so arrive anytime after 6 p.m. to stake a claim near the most fetching patch of sod.

In October 1995, the Colorado Rapids were introduced as one of Major League Soccer’s 10 charter teams. As one of the league's longest tenured members, the organization has brought a number of landmark moments to Denver, highlighted by a MLS Cup victory in 2010. Three years before their championship campaign, the Rapids became the centerpiece of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park—a sprawling complex that features a total of 24 fully lit sports fields. During Rapids matches, fans get swept up in the park’s lively atmosphere driven by Centennial 38, the team's official supporters group. In their designated “Supporter’s Terrace”, C38 members lead raucous cheers and wave massive flags to inspire their side.

The enthusiastic coaches at Soccer Buddies educate youngsters on the value of physical fitness and impart much-needed confidence through drills and practices that refine fundamental skills. Lessons aim to build on the foundations of balance, agility, and coordination for budding athletes as young as 10 months old. As kids get older and their skills begin to mature, they’ll also have the chance to advance through age- and skill-appropriate classes, which increase the chance that students will be fully prepared for advanced moves such as bicycle kicks and the act of kissing a World Cup trophy. Youngsters will find new physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges at every leg of the training track, and those who excel will be eligible for an invitation to the Soccer Buddies Select class, a higher-level learning environment for competitive-minded players younger than 12.

With over 160 centers nationwide, Athletic Republic has helped nearly one million athletes reach their performance potential by applying innovative techniques developed through decades of sports-science research. Designed to improve the ability to visually track moving objects, the Nike Vapor Strobe may grace athletic eyes with enhanced peripheral vision, reduced reaction time, and the ability to fast-forward through time-outs. During training, classes of up to six trainees practice their sport while wearing specially designed glasses that inhibit vision with rapidly blinking strobe lights. Wearers gradually adapt to the limited vision so that, when their full vision is restored, they can more effectively process visual information without undergoing the costly third-eye implants of traditional vision-enhancement programs. Classes run every weekday at 4:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Though trainees may reserve their classes at any time, Athletic Republic recommends that trainees maximize the program’s benefits by completing the six courses within three weeks.
