With more than 386 locations dotting North America, JCPenney Optical's ubiquity is matched only by its extensive selection of contact lenses and designer frames that includes brands such as Armani Exchange, Liz Claiborne, and Nicole Miller. Despite this wide reach, all lenses are cut at the same optical laboratory, ensuring a consistency of quality and a pretty good idea of where to look if your glasses run away from home. Each location has an independent state-licensed doctor of optometry, who can perform vision exams and help clients determine which type of vision correction will work best.

The Flaming Ice Cube might as well be a good vibes factory. Part cafe, gift shop, and yarn shop, visitors can stop in for a veggie burger, knitting lesson, or soy candle. At the cafe, chefs craft homemade vegan plates from a menu that includes a BBQ chick'n sandwich and brown rice bowls layered with asian vegetables, marinated organic tempeh, and the cafe's signature plum sauce. Meanwhile, instructors get needles moving at knitting classes, during which participants learn knitting basics or more advanced techniques for creating hats, scarves, and impractical bikinis.

Though it's been more than five years, Oliver continues to please customers with his attention to detail and quick services, leaving vehicles looking like new after washes, waxes, and detailing.

Pro Tip: Online Business...

Q&A with Chad Hanysh, President

What makes your business stand out?

We provide golf scorecards to 15 golf courses in Youngstown, Ohio ... for free. In return, they have given us great discounts on greens fees.

What inspired you to start this business?

[I] played golf in college and majored in marketing. [I] had always wanted to run my own business. When [we] came up with the concept of our MyLoopCard Golf Scorecards, I knew this was my chance.

What?s your favorite part about your job?

I like the fact that I can deal with a product which I created, but also ... in an arena (golf) which I have a passion for.
