Helmed by Stefanie Ellis, a team of expert instructors leads a roster of classes designed to help guests bolster their core, strength, and posture. In addition to equipment-heavy Pilates courses, these passionate fitness gurus lead heart-intensive Core Cardio classes, ballet-inspired barre classes, yoga lessons, and spinning sessions replete with pulsing tunes, music videos, and the speed-inspiring chirps of cheetahs.
Devised by Pure Barre founder Carrie Rezabek, these fusion classes will work your body in ways it's never been worked before by balancing the grace of dance with the exertion of lifting and the soothing stretching of stretching. Each 55 to 60-minute session loosens, strengthens, and lengthens the body through the perfect blend of the ballet barre, weight training, and limber Pilates. In the process, you'll tone your tush, thighs, hips, arms, and abs while burning fat efficiently and blocking out the invasive anxieties of the real world, such as the lingering dread that squirrels are evolving faster than us and will soon overtake us on the food chain.

Mold muscles and shed calories inside Fitness Now's newly renovated gym with free-weights, machines, and a vast array of fitness classes. Personal trainers administer a fitness evaluation to help jumpstart each member's relationship with the gym. In addition to unrestricted use of resistance machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, and stationary soccer balls, members can take advantage of a wide variety of aerobics classes on the schedule, which change periodically and are subject to availability. Body shapers can participate in yoga classes, which focus on breathing, balance, and flexibility, or try cardio classes such as Spinning, Move and Groove, and Pain, Sweat, and Tears, which blends energetic cardio exercise with light weight intervals, body bars, and BOSU balls. The clean, newly renovated gym offers ample space to manicure muscles and has a full-service juice bar with healthy refreshments available for purchase. Childcare services are available for an additional fee. New members are also given a free 15-minute massage from the in-house massage therapist/chiropractor, who will expertly remove knots from your muscles like a master sailor with surprisingly kempt hands.
Focusing on intense, personalized exercise regimens, 'W'arehouse's team of certified health professionals tailors programs to suit a wide range of fitness ambitions. Upon joining, members are given an evaluation, gauging muscular endurance, body fat, flexibility, and the ability to whistle "Chariots of Fire." A customized regimen of weight training, cardio training, and fitness classes is then bestowed upon the fitness neophyte and carried through in a variety of small-group sessions–usually involving five people or fewer–held throughout the week.
Frills equal distractions when it comes to working out. That's according to the certified trainers who own CrossFit Hardcore North, a member of the gym family named the sixth-best in America by The Active Times. That's why none of their classes involve fancy treadmills, designer rubber bands, or high heels. Instead, classes feature trainers such as Dr. Adam Locker leads students through group classes and personal-training sessions, and seasoned coaches who oversee each participant, monitoring progress as they deliver safety tips and words of encouragement.
Gymnastics-inspired bodyweight exercises such as handstands and muscle-ups build lean muscle mass, and plyometrics foster agility and stamina. Many sessions also incorporate running or rowing to raise heart rates and melt calories. In addition to sculpting lean muscle, kettlebell training cultivates flexibility with focused squats and swinging motions. Instructors also instill in their clients the CrossFit style with functional movements that aim to boost strength, power, and coordination.
Workouts take place in warehouses and other spartan spaces that embody a cultivated lack of the bells and whistles that often masquerade as fitness essentials. Here, basic tools such as kettlebells, jump ropes, and weighted sleds get the job done for a wide range of exercisers, from absolute beginners to advanced athletes.
